screen protector scratches, but protects phone

I was pretty annoyed that I had to pay an extra $10 to have the employee to put it on my new phone for me. Within a week, the screen protector had a long scratch across the top. I thought possibly my phone was cracked. I took off the case of the phone and thankfully it had not cracked, it was just a scratch across the face of the screen protector. It looks ugly with the scratch, but at least my phone itself is protected.
