I am thinking about returning the protector as it is coming up by the menu button and won't lay down flat. I never had this problem with the glass shield that I had on my S5. Sorry I let the salesman talk me into it.

    It works...but flawed

I used a different technique installing this HDX screen protector. I have the Otterbox Symmetry case and this screen protector works well with it. The problem most of us have, the edges don't lay flat on the sides. Why? The S7 has a slight curve on the screen. Not as curved as the S7 Edge though. I was able to get the screen to lay flat on the sides. The top and bottom area of the screen protector still shows the gap. Probably due to the picking up from those edges. I found that if i used scotch tape as handles it worked better. (Your probably asking..."why not use the installation tabs on the screen protector?" Well I let the guy at Best Buy put it on half @$$ed and I didn't like the outcome. I no longer had the installation tabs at my disposal. So the tape worked in a pinch.) To get the sides to lay flat I used a couple of alcohol wipes, that allowed me to wet the screen slightly. Why alcohol? I didn't have any of other kind of solution. The best liquid to use, the stuff that used to come with the original screen protectors. The solution helps by letting the screen protector make better contact with the glass. BTW the squeegee that's provided is perfect. After the screen was wet I placed the HDX screen protector down and positioned it. The alcohol helps with moving it around too. Once the HDX screen protector was in place where I wanted I used the squeegee to push the alcohol out. Starting from the middle and working my way out to the edges. Making sure to get the sides down as best as possible. After I was satisfied with the screen protector I wiped up the remaining alcohol with the cleaning wipe. Hopefully this helps. ZAGG should put a product out that works as advertised. If there are additional materials needed for a successful installation, they should provide. I would recommend this to a friend...but advise to use additional material. Lens cleaner, alcohol or even the origianl ZAGG screen solution.

I should've looked at the reviews first...

I got a the new Galaxy S7 2 weeks ago after shattering the screen on my S5. I've been an InvisibleShield user and believer since I got my first smartphone (iPhone 3g). However, in a moment of stupidity, I opted against paying $30 for a screen protector for my S5 and was using it naked because of the promise of a very durable screen. So naturally, when I got my S7 I went all in on protection and got the HDX with its 3x Shatter Protection. I had some issues with edges when I opted to install it myself instead of paying to have a pro at BestBuy do it. That resulted in the edges peeling up (see the first 2 pictures) I went back to BestBuy, had the HDX replaced and paid to have a GeekSquad pro install it this time. To my dismay, he had the same problem I did, the HDX edges won't stay down due to the slight curve at the screen edge of the S7. So now again, I have a screen protector that peels up and because of where it does, it makes using the screen a challenge at time, collects dust and lint like crazy and the lines are really annoying when watching videos on it. Long story short, I'm pretty disappointed in the quality zagg put out there this time! Did they ever test these on an actual S7 before putting them out there for consumers?! I've owned 5 smartphones now and have had zagg on 4 of them and they have all been excellent until now... this protector isn't worth $5, let alone $35! Please pull this product from your shelves BestBuy

Don't use on an S7 if you use an otter case

I love the ZAGG products and so I had them install the protective plastic when I purchased my S7 and Otter case. Unfortunately this shield is too large for the S7 when used with the Otter case. The case interferes with the corners of the ZAGG Shield. ZAGG stands behind their product and my local ZAGG salesman made a custom shield that fits much better. If you have this same problem return it to Best Buy within 15 days in order for them to fix it.

Seems to protect phone decently though requires a little skill to apply well perfectly. Haven't noticed any damage to the phone since installation however wish Best Buy would carry more options beyond this brand and the price is kinda high

I would rate zero. It doesn't fit S7. It is not adhering to sides due to slight bevel of glass.

The screen protector was easy to install and is very clear. Only issue I have is the phone screen has a slight curve at the edges and it doesn't want to stay down on one side very well.

The screen protector works amazingly well, I doubt I will actually need to replace it any time soon, and when I do, I am very happy I have the lifetime warranty because this one screen protector cost quite a bit. I am used to getting 3 in a box. However, I have yet to see a scratch on it, let alone a fingerprint. DO NOT try testing a hammer on it or anything, but it does its job. The guy @ Best Buy actually assisted me with installation, and made it look easy, so not sure exactly what to say on that except follow all instructions carefully.

Protects the screen but gets dirty

I bought the glass version of the Zagg screen protector because Best Buy was all out of the plastic version. It was installed at the store, which was great because I can never seem to get them on straight. It looked great and the tech told me not to put the case on the phone for several hours in order to "let the edges settle." However, it has now been about a month and the edges never fully adhered to the phone. The edges are full of dust and form a ring around the edge of the screen that is annoying. Otherwise, the protector is fine. If asked, I'd say to get the regular plastic protector and skip the glass.

The screen protector does a very good job at protecting from scratches and scuffs and feels premium. My only complaint is that it seems that the screen protector could get dirty from a lot of use but its not a deal breaker for the protection it provides

Like the screen cover, like that there is a lifetime guarantee with it for cracked screen. Very clear, and so far has not peeled at all. Only draw back was it seemed hard to install, but Best Buy ended up doing it for me at no charge so no problem.

Good screen protection - but it's a film

Nothing can replace the original glass - even glass shields aren't as good as the original. This is a film and I'm always concerned my kids will use their fingernails or a key will scratch the film. It's supposed to be "self healing" and it does that but I'm not sure I'd take the risk on it. This is my 3rd zagg film - most econonmical is reason I get it for the protection. It does a good job for protection. I haven't had any broken screens using them and a good case (ie. speck case - or samsun oem case). The Best Buy guy put it on and there were serious bubbles I was able to get most out and they did mostly disappear after about 3 days like he said they would.

I actually ended up returning this item because I did not realize that it was not glass at the time of purchase. It is supposedly germ resistant and can self heal when it is scratched, which would be great, but I feel hesitant to pay the price asked for something plastic. Also, if you want to self apply the protector, be careful because the packaging can stick to the wrong side of the protector when you try to remove the covering from the side that sticks to your phone.

Having this screen protector on my phone has saved it so many times. Saved it from water and food spills, and items dropping on the screen. No damage done to the phone while having the screen protector on it.

This screen protector provides the level of protection it claims, however, it takes a little while for the screen protector to stick and stay in place.

With the cost of a phone today why not invest a little to protect your screen. It prevents scratches and is easy to clean finger print off of.

I've had many Zagg products throughout the years and have never had any issues. However, due to the curved edges on the S7, my case pushed one of the edges up on the screen protector. I just had to pay the $4.99 shipping to get a new one sent to me from Zagg. IF YOU PUT THIS PROTECTOR ON YOUR PHONE, WAIT 48 HOURS BEFORE PUTTING ON A CASE SO THE EDGES CAN HAVE TIME TO ADHERE!
