It's good for the phone

It bothers me that you can still see details of what you're doing on the phone from side angles. It doesn't provide a full blackout to other viewers.

In retrospect I'm not sure I like the narrower field of view that the privacy feature provides. It makes it harder to show the screen to others (you cannot look at it at the same time conveniently). I'm retired and have nothing to really protect from others seeing it. Were I still working then I might be glad for the privacy feature.
