Smudged protection

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to have the model I needed sent in special, since the store didn’t carry this item for the iPhone 8Plus. In the past I have just bought the low priced protectors, but new phone....let’s really protect it. Well, it installed really poorly and had a lifted edge from the start. I should mention that I have put protectors on MANY devices - and NEVER had a problem since I’m very careful with directions. The more I looked at the screen, the more irritated I would get. To make matters worse, even with extra care for my new phone, it was full of marks in no time. Marks were all over it from being tossed in my purse or put in my pocket. Mind you, none of our cars have keys (all push button starters), and I don’t have key rings, so it’s not like I had a bunch of metal things scratching against it. I contacted Zagg and explained my dissatisfaction with the product. They were pretty good about sending a replacement and provided free shipping on the return of the original glass - however, replacement is the only warranty option, so I’m now in possession of an overpriced screen protector. I can’t even return the new sealed one to Best Buy - because they don’t carry this for the iPhone 8Plus any more. I would rather have the $ back to use toward some different products.
