Customers are delighted by the keyboard and trackpad quality of the Pro Keys Wireless Keyboard & Case, with many praising its responsiveness and ease of use. However, some users expressed concern that the magnetic attachment could be improved for better stability, particularly when the iPad is tilted. The magnetic connection's strength was cited as an area needing improvement to prevent accidental drops. Overall, the positive feedback on the keyboard and trackpad outweighs the concerns about the magnet strength.

The Good and the Not So Good

I am a bit disappointed with my Zagg Pro Keys Trackpad Wireless Keyboard & Case, because unlike my old Zagg Rugged case, the Bluetooth on this case only works when it is docked to the iPad. With my older case, I was able to set my iPad on a music stand and type with the keyboard on my lap…but not with this one. I was also a little disappointed that it doesn’t fold up as easily as the gal on the promo video, and it only has two angles to view the screen. I am also a little concerned that the camera is not covered; I hope it won’t get scratched or dusty. I DO however really like the keyboard and trackpad. The keys are very easy to type to and are super quiet. And the trackpad works well. I also like the strap that magnetically holds the Apple Pencil in place when it is folded up. I would still recommend this if you are able to put up with the issues mentioned above.

The good:
It is a decent Keyboard. The keys have a good feel when pressed. I like that it has a trackpad. I love that the keyboards portion is removable and the iPad is still protected by the case with bumpers around the edges and that portion does hold the pencil in place. Very easy to pair and accepts bluetooth connections to multiple devices without needing to replace one or the other.
What could be better?
First it is not priced at what I would call bargain pricing. there are other cases that are of similar or better quality that are priced lower. Also, it is a bit heavy compared to other keyboard cases. The trackpad is VERY sensitive resulting in accidental movements of the cursor while typing if not careful. You can turn it off which sort of defeats the purpose. I wish you could adjust the sensitivity. I do wish the magnets that held things in place were a little bit stronger as I have had a couple of drops where the magnets just let go over time because of the angle the tablet was sitting at.

Poor to Zero Support

Liked the keyboard, but when a key fell off I contacted support and got absolutely no help. Their solution was to spend another $170 on another keypad. For that reason I will never buy another ZAGG product.

When i first started using it, the spacebar wouldn’t work. I had to download an app to update the firmware. Then it started working as expected. I turned on Stage Manager, a newer feature for iPad OS. This was helpful for apps that only run in portrait orientation. With the keyboard attached, it’s in landscape orientation. Now portrait only apps will show smaller, but I csn keep the iPad in portrait orientation.

Overall, easy to use. Unable to change iPad brightness with keyboard. Trackpad is very responsive and easy to turn off if needed. iPad protection is solid however, the magnetic attachment should be more robust so the ipad doesn’t fall off if tilted too far back. Good feel and tactical sensitivity for the keys.

Works as key board and protection. It took a while to learn how to get it to pair with the iPad, but once paired, it works great. It I a little awkward to used on my lap when not at a desk. Otherwise it is a good keyboard.

I would give this 5 stars if the magnets on the back would hold the tablet up for every position, it only has one stron magnetic position, the rest are really weak and can make my tablet fall

I did not like this product. I was expecting a light keyboard to use with my iPad Pro, but I was disappointed. It was heavy to carry around. iPad is heavy for it to stand and I cannot use it on my lap.
I hard a very hard time trying to connect my iPad to this keyboard. Even after reading the instructions multiple times, it was difficult. I had to look for a video on how people connected the thing.
The ONLY thing that I did like was the case it came to protect the iPad. Very good quality and very durable.
Overall, would not recommend. Unless, you want a keyboard with a case.

After 2 weeks of using this case/keyboard, I’m returning it and getting the $169 version.
Pros: Keys are tactile and responsive. Syncs to 2 devices simultaneously.
Cons: Keypad doesnt stay erect if not on a firm surface…if on a lap, forget it. Keypad lights only illuminate if you know the key combinations to turn on…when I needed the illumination in a dark room, I had to turn a light on to see which keys to press.
Also, keyboard separates from the tablet way to easily.
