Makes it Blurry

I guess there are two models so be careful what you buy (Best Buy gave me a credit so I give Best Buy a 5 start) but the product itself makes the iPad screen and images/text to blurry. There is a clear on but i guess this one is for better view in direct sunlight.
I got my money back and just use it with a normal case no plastic sticker.

Buy the non "Smudge Proof" Instead!

I received a smudge proof protector today as a replacement to my original "clear" protector. After applying it, and waiting the recommended 12 hours, I am removing it. I absolutely hate the way it makes the screen blurry and really annoying to look at. Looking at photos is nearly impossible, because of the frustration that comes with the blurriness. If you are looking for a great screen protector I recommend the clear version from ZAGG's Invisible Shield line. I had that one before and loved it; that's the one that I will be purchasing tomorrow to replace my smudge proof.

Not an 'invisible' shield

The ZAGG Smudge-Proof Invisible SHIELD is a very disappointing product. The I-pad screed with this shield installed is so blurry and pixelated that it turns the I-pad from a top of the line visual stimulating piece of equipment into a 1960's landing on the moon video replay.
it is terrible.
I will continue once I have found out what Best Buy decides to do about replacing this upon return.

I love my ZAGG screen for my iPhone because it was easy to add on to the device. I do NOT love the same screen for the iPad (or iPad 2) because they did not make it easy to add to my device. The screen kept collecting dust underneath before I put it on and the requirement to put the lubricating liquid on when putting the screen on the iPad just made a huge mess. It was extremely difficult to put the screen on. I just gave up and bought a smart cover and a back cover for my device instead - don't waste your money on the ZAGG screen for the iPads. I highly recommend it for the iPhone though.

Perfect for what it is...

Don't get me wrong, you have to know that this screen protector has some drawbacks...
1) It detracts from the crispness of the screen, giving the iPad2 a bit of a 'pixelated' or almost 'wet' look
2) Like any Zagg screen protector, getting the blasted thing on takes work and patience
Those two things aside, however, I love it. It fits perfectly, it doesn't show smudges or fingerprints (and I have 3 kids who use it so I KNOW smudges and fingerprints!), and it doesn't 'catch' on your fingertips, wet or dry or oily.

Anti-glare makes screen grainy

I suppose this protector might make sense if you are planning on using your iPad primarily outdoors. But it makes the display very grainy. It will especially drive you nuts on eBooks and web sites with white backgrounds. You want the CLEAR version of this product, NOT the anti-glare.

This screen protector has no bubbles at all in it. I had the employees at Best Buy install the protector because I didn't want to mess with it. Watching the guy do it reaffirmed my choice. He got all bubbles out and it looks great. There is not too much of a glare at all. However, if you like to view photos a lot, this may not be the screen protector for you. I didn't realize how grainy it would make the screen. It doesn't really bother me because I am not editing photos or doing much designing on it. Besides that it is really great. It also has a lifetime warranty which makes it a great buy.

This film is absolutely HORRIBLE. It makes the screen look so grainy that it's unreadable. On white backgrounds the prism effect is 100 X OMG Double Rainbows!! The film is also very thick and makes the screen less sensitive to respond to touches. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Anti glare coat causes pixalation on screen.

After proffesional install, the anti-glare coating made the screen look pixaly. I took it in to have it looked like and was told the reason was the matte finish. If you want a shield i suggest buying the regular shield instead of anti-glare.

Was disappointed with screen protector

I had purchased a Zagg screen protector, it was the stickyist thing ever, it was a pain to put on the ipad2. It was a 2 perosn task, and still ended up having bumps/bubbles. I took it off , threw it away.
I went and bought another, had someone else try to put it on, same thing. They suggested a Belkin cover, it comes with 2 screen protectors for $20, ( $15 cheaper and an extra protector!) My Best Buy does not sale this item, I went to Target... Love the Belkin brand!

This cover is ridiculously priced. It came with more stuff than my iPad did. The plastic cover, a spray bottle, a dust wipe and squigee. After I spent an hour trying to put it on my iPad with my wife's help I quit. I gave it to my wife to try and she couldn't get it to look good either. We had smudges and water from the spray bottle on the screen and air bubbles.
Thank goodness best buy took them back but I can't believe best buy is selling these after all the bad reviews. I should have done some more research and looked at reviews before going to the store. I can't speak about its strength or durability because we didn't keep them.
In the end we went to another store and bought a protective cover for 1/3 of the price and it came with 2 in the package. And they go on in a snap and cause a lot less agrevation. I would have given it no stars but that's not available.

I wouldn't use this product if I were paid to. It is awful. I told the woman in customer service that Best Buy should pull the product it was so bad. Made the iPad screen look grainy and terrible. Took it back and got the shield that does show smudges. Smudges are even better than this "non-smudge" product.

Too expensive, supposed to be smudge proof

When I bought htis screen protector I was shocked by its price. However, I felt if was so hyped and supposed to be very rugged it would be a worth while investment. Sadly, the smudge proof statement is not really accurate. If you look at the screen just right or with no backlight you can see all the finger marks, it looks gross like the dog licked it and doesn't clean off! Besides that, the screen definition suffers considerably due to the material used to make it smudge proof. I think on the next one I will just buy the standard protector for almost $15 less. Replacing it more often and wiping it off when needed to get rid of the smudge marks would be as easy. One positive is the glare resistance, that part does work well.

The cover was extremely difficult to work with; ended up with many small bubbles that did not go away after several days as instructions state; lint from included cloth was stuck on the sticky side which couldn't be removed. NOT worth the $35!! I wouln't give it 1 star.

We did install this anti-glare/smudge screen properly on our iPad 2, practically no air bubble remaining. First thing we noticed was static-like grains from the screen protector.
The grains wouldn't go away even after 3-4 days like some people say it does. It made the screen look absolutely HORRIBLE. beyond ruined retina display. Straight up hurts eyes to look at the screen. We too off the protector after 4 days and it was huge difference... This anti-smudge/glare screen was absolute waste of money, time, and your eye health.

I am an owner of Zagg for my iPhone and love it. So, when I got my new iPad I naturally wanted the same great protection. Unfortunaly, it blurs the screen. The screen is no longer sharp. So, I returned it and bought the HD version and LOVE IT!!

I bough this smudge proof screen protect for an extensive price of 34 bucks. The product was hard to put on, like any screen protector. When you get this product on your $500 tablet, it makes your screen look grainy. The zagg products are good just don't spend the extra money on smudge proof. You loose the quality in the picture. After this I decided to go basic with my zagg iPhone screen protector and have a crisp clear screen.
Smudge proof= a horrible waste of money.

This product was ao difficult to apply that I ended up ruining it. I have applied similar products to every cell phone I have had in the last 5+ years (10+), without much of a problem. Maybe its due to the size of the tablet but for whatever reason, I could not get it on straight for the life of me. Stay away from it and buy something else, what that is I am not sure.
