I use my iPad mini as a main productivity device whenever I leave my MacBook home. The Zagg keyboard is backlit for working in low-light situations, has comfortably-sized keys, and lets me type at high speeds as if on a laptop keyboard. My dissatisfaction is with the blue tooth communication that is delayed when powering on, and with the battery life of the keyboard that I have to charge too frequently. Nonetheless, I am pleased with the Zagg’s performance and usability.

PRO(s): I love having Zagg products on my i-devices. 1) Zagg Invisibleshields are awesome for screen protection and this unit as a whole offers the same level of protection for the whole device. 2) Initial bluetooth pairing works perfectly with Apple iPad mini. CON(s): 1) Although the bluetooth pairing works perfectly on the initial setup, it has been a bit confusing as to when and how the bluetooth connection is reestablished when the iPad is put to sleep or is powered off and comes back on. At first it seemed the keyboard rarely worked however after further use I am now accustomed to striking a key on the keyboard and finding that it works quite well. So it's hard to say how well this actually works on "wake up". 2) While typing at a 30-40 words per minute speed, the O key rarely works without a hard press. 3) Words-per-minute are limited because of the cramped style of the keyboard 4) The price is a little ridiculous. I only bought the device because of the Zagg name in conjunction with having a Reward Zone certificate for $30 in pocket which brought the price down to around $50 which in my opinion is still too much for this keyboard. If I had to do it all over again I would do some research before purchasing and would never pay even the discounted price for this particular keyboard.

Easy to install, easy to use. Great product, good size for mini ipad

I was so pleased with my mini iPad case. The keyboard is perfect and allows me to do my work easier. The case is sturdy and durable as well.

This product has a great design, but the keyboard does not sync all the time.

I'm loving this case/keyboard so far! I haven't found many issues with it yet, besides that the number one key is small so I tend to it that and the two at the same time or I hit the two instead of the one. But that is not that big of a deal. It works seamlessly with my IPad and it is so useful! Green is my favorite color so I was also happy about that.

This keyboard is awsome it does shut off sometimes but it still works great another problem is when I was searching things on the internet I hit space and it kept taking me out of the app. But over all I recommend this product.

Great concept for protection and a bluetoothed keyboard in one, but the tape that binds the keyboard to the iPad case fell apart within 2 months. This product is used daily at school in virtually every class. Not sturdy enough for everyday use.

Fits the iPad Mini very well and the keyboard is quite usable. Sturdy construction and slim enough to keep the iPad Mini portable. The more I used it the more I realized how much I depend on switching between portrait and landscape modes of the iPad. I couldn't get used to holding the iPad in portrait mode with the keyboard attached. This is not a flaw in the Folio, it just does not fit how I use my iPad. Just something to keep into consideration when switching between different apps on the iPad. Typing Experience: The keys are a pleasure to type with. To be honest, I never really considered getting a keyboard for my ipad mini, because... well... it would be tiny. This definitely changed my mind While the keyboard is nicely made, and the faux leather gives it a premium quality feel, the plastic cover that wraps the mini feels cheap. In fact, I have been extra careful taking the mini out of the folio case. While it seems alright for now, I will definitely limit popping the mini in and out of this case.

I bought this case/keyboard combination for my iPad mini in December of 2015. I charged it ONCE. It's not almost February of 2017 and I have not had to charge it a second time. I use this thing daily. I have often times forgot to turn it off and left it "on" over night. it powers down after inactivity to conserve battery life, but pressing any button and waiting a second or two and it will turn right back on. I'm using it right now to write this review, actually. I have written hundreds of e-mails that were rather long, used it to send text messages, post on facebook, comment.... you name it. This thing has gotten some serious use. The buttons are very nice and responsive, and I've not had a single problem. The occasional signal/lag is there, but it happens so infrequently (like once a month) and is almost always due to the device it's connected to and not the case itself. Most times when there are connectivity issues, again, a VERY rare occurance, a simple power cycle of turning the case off and back on to get it to connect to the ipad works every time. I have connected it to my iPhone as well, so for those who might want to just prop up their phone against it and use it as a keybaord for that, it will absolutely work for that. I have it paired with both my iPad and phone and only need to go into settings to choose which one I connect to. When I have it connected to my ipad, whenever I turn the case on and turn on bluetooth on the ipad, it connects automatically in less than a second. the hinge is good and stays in position, so using it as JUST a stand when watching videos or playing games on your iPad mini works very well. resting it on your lap to type can sometimes be a little awkward, if you're a grown man, so sometimes placing a book on your lap or something else to help keep it steady will make things much easier. keep in mind, the base where the keyboard is is much lighter than the side where the iPad is, so it will be slightly top heavy if you are going to tilt the screen WAY back, it CAN tip over if you don't have it resting on a flat level surface. But that's just common sense, and nothing that is a negative to this case that I have found. When you close the case, it automatically puts the iPad into sleep mode. There is a "home" button which acts exactly as the button on the device (iPad or iPhone alike) and a double press of this will bring up the multi-tasking or open apps. There is a lock button, so you can power down your device without needing to close the case. A microphone button which summons SIRI volume buttons, play/pause, fast forward and rewind as well as a copy and paste button and a "keyboard" button which you can use to call up the devices on screen keyboard if you need special symbols or wish to use emoji. Overall I have never been more satisfied with a case and keyboard for a mobile device. And with a battery life going on 14 months of daily use, often times up to several hours of use in one day, I am very impressed. From now on, whenever I am in the market for mobile keyboards, or any other accessories, I will see what these guys have first and would be more than willing to give any of their products a shot.

This is a great little case and keyboard combo. It makes the iPad mini thicker, but offers more protection than most cases. The keyboard turns the mini into more of a little computer. My one complaint is that the bluetooth connection doesn't maintain itself. I often have to turn the iPad off and then on again to reestablish the connection. Other than that, I'm happy with the product.

This keyboard/case makes my iPad mini so much easier to use! It seems to be very well made, and fits the iPad like a glove. It lets me prop the iPad in my lap for easy use, and of course typing on the keyboard is much better than on-screen. My only complaint is that I sometimes have to re-establish the connection with the Ipad. Even though it will show that it is connected, the keyboard won't work until I turn the Ipad Bluetooth off and then make the connection again. So far, that has worked every time. I would definitely buy this again.

The iPad mini case is a good case to use with your iPad Mini. It allows for quick use and responds properly when typing. There is a little delay when trying to connect the iPad mini case to your iPad mini; however, it does not take too long. The white color does get dirty kind of quick, so if you are a heavy user - i would recommend getting a darker color.

I bought this case for myself to use with my iPad mini. It is very well made, the keys all work very well, battery life is excellent. I bought it on Thanksgiving and have only charged it one time and it is still going strong. The case itself offers excellent protection for my iPad. The only drawback I have is that there were only a limited amount of colors that it came in.

Gives good protection to the iPad Mini 2, keyboard is very nice with backlit color changing keys. Battery life on keyboard charge is supposed ti be 2 years! Only thing I don't like is that you can't move the keyboard out of the way and hold it like a tablet.

Very nice keyboard. Not cheaply made at all. Excellent protection for the iPad. My only complaint is that it loses it connection to the iPad more than I would like and I don't know why. Would I buy it again .... Yes I would.

I bought this keyboard in a bind when I needed to do a bunch of work on a long plane trip, so I only had the in-store selection to choose from. What I wish I had thought through was the need to eventually turn my iPad into its upright position instead of just using it as pictured. The case makes it really clunky to turn sideways because the keyboard is in the way. You can easily pop your iPad in and out, but that leaves it unprotected. If this case had a way to turn it, I'd give it 5 stars. The battery life appears to be as advertised - I've had it for about a month now with intermittent use and haven't had to charge again. Overall a really nice keyboard if you want to just turn your iPad into a mini laptop!

Thisccase works a a double feature case. It's sturdy and it protects well. The keyboard is soft and easy to connect and sync. Easy to read the battery remaining on it. Sweet.

Really nice iPad case and really nice, easy to use keyboard. The cover is hinged so it functions as a stand as well. The case holds the iPad securely and gives excellent protection. It would be perfect except it tends to lose the Bluetooth connection frequently and I have to go to Settings, disconnect the keyboard from Bluetooth (because although it says it is connected, it is not functioning), and reconnect it to Bluetooth. It works fine for a while then randomly just stops working. If you don't mind reconnecting frequently, it is a very nice option for the price.
