This is the movie Airplane! parodied so closely the producers bought the rights to eliminate any legal problems. On its own merits it is a cheesy B&W adventure for those of us familiar with 1950s suspense flicks, maybe a 2½-3 star movie out of five. And like so many of those movies, it is eminently spoofable, which ZAZ took full advantage of. If a viewer were to watch this with no knowledge of what it inspired it would probably be a way to pass 82 minutes but not be memorable. For Airplane! fans you see almost every scene, and many of the lines, unfold, almost as if looking at a field when planted with this movie then seeing the bountiful crop that became Airplane! Demerits for this being a DVD-R, which was not mentioned in the specifications or description. I have not had a problem with it.

If you're a fan of the comedic film Airplane!, you gotta see this movie. This movie is the original one on which the Airplane! spoof was based. It's not a comedy - but so many similarities that you can't help but laugh at some of the scenes. I'm glad I got this. It made me appreciate the humor in Airplane! so much better. I suggest watching Airplane! first.
