Poorly made

In order to get the top to stay on you have to play with it to get it inserted on the top of the jug...At times even if you feel the top is on properly, it will come off when pouring water into a glass..I mean how hard i it to manufacture a pitcher on which the top fits properly and simply. You snap in one end and the other pops open etc etc.. I should have learned with my first purchase of the much larger pitcher which would not fit easily into my new refrigerator. On that model, one side of the hinge of the 2 part top cracked off and a few weeks ago so did the second part.
