After using this product for about a week, I'm pretty happy with the Zhiyun Smooth 5. Even though this is my first three-axis smartphone gimbal, I've experienced some different brands from friends and below are some points I like about it: The Smooth 5 has a lot of controls including a large focus/zoom wheel and button on the gimbal. It's pretty handy and can be controlled with one hand, which means we would have another hand free during outdoor activities like hiking or kayaking; Compare to DJI OM 5 (6.4 hours) and Feiyu Vimble 3 (10 hours), 12 hours of battery life and 2 hours to fully charge really makes a big difference; It's definitely heavier than DJI OM 5 (10.3 oz) and Feiyu Vimble 3 (13.7 oz) but 21.7 oz is roughly a Venti latte from Starbucks, which is pretty ok for me. Plus it can also clip larger phones, even for iPhone 13 Pro Max. Just some of my thought after using a week and there're still a lot more features to explore. After seeing some videos from other buyers online, the magnetic mounting fill-in light looks really cool and I'm planning to get'em. Hopefully I can find out more new tricks in the future.

I like how this gimbal stabilizer works, it helps take pictures and videos much better than without. My phone has a stabilizer but this gimbal helps even more, it also tracks and follows so you are not out of frame. I like it.

I bought this 3 axis gimble to use with my Galaxy note 20 ultra working good enough for the price. The app is a lil buggy but i got good video and great b-roll. I bought this over the DJI osmo 6

I really like my Smooth 5 smart phone gimbel. I am new to smartphone videography and this is my first gimbel. I suggest that you check out YouTube videos on smart phone videgraphy and gimbels before you make any purchases. I had first considered the DJI OM5, but when I learned about limitations of the DJI on the low to high crane shot, I decided to buy the slightly more expensive Smooth 5. I had a little trouble initially trying to use the gimbel – it kept going into standby mode. After watching tutorial videos I found that I was operating it backward – the roll axis motor should be on the side toward the operator. My only complaints and one star deduction are for the fairly limited manual and the less than stellar apps. There are two Zhiyun apps to use, ZY-Cami and Sta-Cam. Again, check out YouTube videos for what you need and how they work. From my research, a paid app, such as Filmic Pro ($14.95) will be best with this gimbel, but it’s not yet compatible

This is the right gimbal for iPhone 13 pro max. Easy to use. A wrist strap would have been a nice addition but otherwise. Zhiyun Smooth 5 is a huge upgrade from Osmo 5

Bought this one for my iphone 13 pro max. I've tried a few similar devices but this one fits my large phone the best. Zhiyun + Filmic Pro, seamless!
