Its ok, for the price bad app.

Posted .If you're seeing it in black and white, that means the night vision is on. The night vision shouldn't be on during the day, meaning you should see everything in color. If this is not the case, you might have a faulty IR filter on it. Give us a call at 217-903-5037, and we can exchange the camera for you.

The app will distinguish between two types of events:
1) Major motion event. Major motion events occur when motion is detected after a prolonged period without motion (at least 25 minutes). Whenever a major motion event is detected, you will receive an alert on your smartphone, and your device will record a 10 second clip and save a record of the event in the Zmodo app.
2)Minor motion event. Minor motion events occur when motion is detected within a short period of time following another motion event (within 20 minutes of the last motion event) after at least 3 minutes without motion. For example, if motion is detected 7 minutes after a major motion event was detected, it will be registered as a minor motion event. However, if motion is detected within 3 minutes of any motion event (major or minor), it will not be registered as a motion event. Whenever a minor motion event is detected, you will not receive an alert on your smartphone, but your device will record a 5 second video clip and save a record of the event in the Zmodo app for you to review at any time. This will make sure that you still have a record of all motion events without receiving unnecessary alerts on your phone.

Not the best, not the worst

Get what you pay for

Why should I have to change my router or settings for all my other household devices just for this to work. No thank you. Smashed it up in the garage for enjoyment

Compatibility issues, a headache to get working

It was such a hassle. Then my phone wouldn't detect the camera on the network, I had to borrow someone else's phone just to detect it. If you have to jump through wifi compatibility hoops, and phone brand hoops just to get it to work, then it's not really worth it.

Great Camera

I did read that the internet can't run over 2.4gzh, which does, but I didn't read this till after I had been trying for hours.
