bought for my high school student. Worth every penny! Rice should only ever be cooked like this. Whatever you do NEVER buy the substitute. Just suck it up and get the real thing. You will thank the universe. I was not a believer until my kid begged me to buy what I felt was this overly priced machine. I bought it as a Christmas present for her and she would not even let me use it lol. I saw how easy it was and absolutely perfect it comes out. Plus you never waste it because you can save it in the cooker for days! What mind blown. I first bought a cheaper one for her because I wasn't convinced before I bought this one and now I know the difference. Don't waste the money. If rice is a staple in your meals this is a must have.

I would recommend to purchase this rice cooker. No, it is not the top of line in its family, but consider the bang on the bucks, this model is affordable and great. Pro: easy to use, many modes to select, rice taste good! Con: congee/soup mode needs experience - you are probably going to try a few times to get the best water/rice ratio for yourself.

So far, so good. I am a little skeptical because I had my last rice cooker for 25 years. I use my rice cooker a lot and I hope this one is also built to last. So far, it is a great machine. It is big but it is also very light. It cooks and keeps rice warm efficiently. I like that it cooks so many different types of rice. I also like the retractable cord. Hopefully, I can update this review in 20 or so years to say that I need a replacement.

This fantastic piece of tech plays music as you start the cook, and as it is done and ready. The controls were very simple and easy to learn. Cooking time was a bit longer than my older model (35-40mins vs 20-25mins), however after the quick cook function pretty much solves that. Even then, this thing cooks such good rice that its worth the wait.

One of the best Rice cookers out there. I definitely recommend Zojirushi in genera, but make sure to pick the one that says "Made in Japan". There's versions where it doesnt have it, and the performance on those are subpar.

This rice cooker is costly, but it does turn out really great rice. It can be used for different kinds of rice ( brown, white, wild rice, mixed) and gives perfect results every time. I like that it can be set to have the rice ready at a certain time, so you can get it ready and set it for dinnertime. It also has a large capacity.

Rice cooker works great! No mess like our previous rice cooker and actuslly very simple to use!

It’s the best rice maker! The rice always comes out perfect. It has a timer that comes on when it’s getting close to being done. It’s so convenient especially when making stir fry so that you know when to start the vegetables. The rice hasn’t been scorched on the bottom unlike other rice cookers. I love all the different options for different types of rice.

My last simple rice cooker was on it's last leg. I decided to do some research on rice cooker and got curious about the more expensive ones. Thinking to myself what's the difference..OH THERE'S A DIFFERENCE!! The texture the taste.. OMG! No regrets

I have been a fan of Japanese appliances all my life because of the style and quality the manufacturer provided. The style was very simple and nice looking and the quality they provided were top notch. It’s easy to use and the rice comes out prefect. I love the functions for cooking different rice( brown sushi etc). Definitely recommend this rice cooker to anyone that eat rice everyday like me.

This was a replacement for my college rice maker and it was a long time coming. The richness of flavor, the fluffy texture, and the aromatics that come out of the fuzzy make all my meals that more tasty. Best new kitchen helper. Worth it!

We had a VERY hard time deciding which rice cooker to buy, but are thrilled with this purchase. We use it at least 2-3 times per week. The rice has been perfect each time and we can leave it on the counter on the “warm” setting for a few days for great rice that’s always ready. The PERFECT machine for us.

The Zojirushi rice cooker makes perfect rice every time. Having had the 5 cup version for many years it is nice to be able to make up to 10 cups when needing more. Great quality machine made in Japan and works perfectly every time it's used and that's about 2 times a week.

I love rice and this thing is great for big batches of white or brown that I can keep warm all weekend. I have no ‘cons’ except it’s initial price. It is one kitchen appliance that lives on the counter. No point in putting it away. Love that it can be scheduled to have the rice ready at a certain time.

Asian approved. My rice has never tasted so good. I love that it’s programmed to cook so many types of rice, including sticky and brown rice and porridge. The timer feature is also super cool. It allows you to set a time for when your rice should be cooked.

Make sure you look up the amount of water you put per cup of rice, but I love it! It's made perfect rice every time, so it's been so worth it!

Family loves it and it cooks perfect rice. I recommend it to people that wants a perfect rice with their meal.

We had the smaller version for over 8 years and only bought a new one because the rice pan was starting to break down. This machine is a beast. It makes awesome rice. So far the machine is working well. The rice is delicious for white and brown.
