So far so good the router is simple, and also has an online customer service that helps you 100% with any issues highly recommend to those that want to have their own router rather than renting one.

Great Cable Docsis 3.0 Modem/WiFi Router Combo

This cable Docsis 3 modem/router is a very high-speed modem with a wifi N router built in that runs much faster than the one we had previously rented from Comcast. We could not be happier with our purchase. Setup was as simple as plugging it into the wall & the cable, & temporarily by ethernet to the IMac we have. Once it had time to boot, a screen came up on our browser asking for the account number for Comcast & 1 other verifying item for identity proof, then it automatically communicated with Comcast & setup on its own. We were then able to use the wifi from that moment on without a single hiccup. I have since (having an IT background) gone into the app that's built-in to open ports & block a single MAC address from the internet for a single PC I have that's old & running XP still, but needed for the files on the 2 HDD's inside it, & all has been easy as is humanly possible, in all honesty. Couldn't be happier!! Would HIGHLY recommend. This is the 2nd ZOOM modem I have purchased at Best Buy (the 1st was a modem only, but same speed, as I already had an N router at that time), & don't regret either. Give this one SERIOUS thought! GREAT price, GREAT speed, reliable!

I wanted something simple to setup internet in my apartment. I liked the idea of a two-in-one device so I looked at this one and another in store. I also checked reviews on my phone. The sales guy told me this was a "bad option" and that if I used multiple devices, it would kick them off. He tried to get me to buy something over twice the price. Consulting some IT friends, they said this would be more than adequate for me, I have a laptop, tablet, Roku and a cell phone.
So far, it's been great. I have no problem using it anywhere in my small one bedroom apartment. I haven't experienced any connectivity issues. I even run a security camera thru it and it never has streaming issues either. This is a budget friendly, well suited device for this bargain hunter. I definitely do not regret my purchase - have had for about a month now.

I bought this to avoid paying the cable company for a modem lease. This unit also replaced my old and slow wireless router. The speed has been excellent, and I had no problems finding my way through the admin menus to change the network name and password. Can't speak to the install process too much because the cable guy set it up for me, but he had it up and running in minutes.

I went to Best Buy and talked at length with a sales person before purchasing this item. The item did what he stated it would. When needing customer support for the router, you have to call Zoom. Their customer service department is horrible! You have to call and make a report and wait for someone to call you back in a couple of days. I never did get a return call. You're better off renting the router/ modem from Time Warner. Save yourself the headaches.

Very user friendly and was easy to setup. This router has done nothing but outperformed what my expectations were. I thought going with a less known name would be silly but I figured someone had to try it out. So I did and would highly recommend to everyone

This works well for Comcast cable modem/router at a decent price. The problem is the interface is pretty advanced and will confuse new users compared to say a Linksys router gui. Sure you can just use it out of the box, but I found I was pingable, and it took some googling to figure out how to make it not pingable. I would recommend this to a friend? Well if he was a techie and wasn't going to bother me to set things up for him.

I purchased the modem router combo for home internet use. It is very reliable. However we had to do an update in order to use the MAC filter. For about a month until the update was available my neighbors were eating up my band width. grr But now all is well and it is working well.Make sure you check for up dates as soon as you get it.

Needed a modem AND a router----and it had to be DOS 3------and it had to be a cable modem-----and I really wanted it to be a decent price!
BINGO! This is the one! Less money than most, instantly available and VERY easy to operate!

Bought this to replace a previous model that took a lightning surge. It's easy to set-up and has good features. So far, I don't think the range is quite as good as the previous model, but need a little more time to tell. So, maybe a step down, but barely detectable if it is.

the price I paid was around $100. + taxes, it's been 2 months and this product working way better than the rented comcast modem. you will have to call comcast to have them setup the modem but it's nothing, maybe 15 mins. strong signal. 4 Ethernet slots. worth it...

Works Flawless and Speed is excellent. I saved 120 a year from cable provider and now I have no issues. I called Comcast to register it and I have it working within 20min after home call. No problem on Comcast side either.
