SUPER. Sound Bar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I noticed in the ad it was good for persons needing help with voices on TV. I was skeptic since I have a Bose and thought they were the best. I received this product today and it simply put itself on the ready agenda. The sound is so sharp and clear. I have already brought in a couple of neighbors to listen. They are amazed as i was. Thanks so much.

Can hear dialogue easily
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install and setup. Now hearing dialogue that was previously "mumbled" or garble.

Game Changer!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have to watch TV with CC on in case we miss something they are saying due to all the "background" noise. This sound bar helped make the voice clear and crisp. Can't believe we struggled all these years. HIGHLY recommend for those who attended Rock Concerts in the '70s!

Great sound bar for voice clarity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The set up was very easy. One of our remotes did not sync and I called customer service; they answered immediately and solved the issue even faster! This week we actually clearly heard all of the dialog on some of our favorite shows.

Great but no Bluetooth
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was easy to set up and sounds great for the bedroom. But in this day and age you spend $180 and no bluetooth? Even $10 speakers come with bluetooth.

Worst. Speaker. Ever.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really dislike writing poor reviews, but this speaker is so awful that I felt obligated to alert my fellow citizens. I’m experiencing moderate hearing loss, so some TV dialogue can be difficult for me to follow, such as missing important words, etc. (British accents are the worst). Anyway, I’ve purchased several moderately-priced TV sound bars over the last two years and have found every one too “boom-y”, i.e., excessive bass or subwoofer, which actually drowns out the dialogue even worse... I assume the manufacturers’ intent is to emphasize musical soundtracks over dialogue. Now, getting down to this little ZVOX AV200 sound bar... I was excited to find this sound bar online because it specifically claims to clarify dialogue for hearing-impaired folks like me (my hearing loss was military-related). First a positive note: This ZVOX speaker is heavy and solidly constructed of aluminum (no plastic). I’m a mechanical engineer, but the hookup to my TV was so quick and easy — anyone could do it. Literally plug in 2 wires: the optical cable and power cable. Now the bad news: I couldn’t be more disappointed with the horrible sound quality. Harsh and tinny. I tinkered with several speaker settings, but it was like choosing between ‘bad’ or ‘worse’. (My cheap built-in TV speakers sound like the Boston Symphony Orchestra compared to the ZVOX.) Perhaps the ZVOX is intended for those with more severe hearing loss than me, which could explain some of the 5 star rave reviews herein. If this sound bar helps some people hear better I’m thrilled for them. But for me, I’m still on my quest for a sound bar that can deliver crystal clear dialogue with decent tonal quality.

Poor quality amp
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is fine. Did not last! Zvox tech says amp is fried but we had no surges or power outages. Naturally, the warranty has expired.

Did not work with my TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Zvox 200 was easy to connect and the speaker sounded good but not a huge difference from my TV's speakers but after 20 minutes I heard a popping sound and it stop playing. I turned if off and on and same thing happened. I called customer service and they told me to disable standby mode. Did not work. Then read online that it may not work with older TVS. My TV is a Panasonic purchased in 2007. You think they Zvox would mention that on their website. If you do want to purchase call Zvox and ask them if it is compatible with your brand/age of TV

Absolutely no improvement over cheap TV speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker doesn't provide any improvement in voice clarity over any flat panel television I've purchased in the last 5 years. I am completely amazed by the shear quantity of positive reviews - I'm going to take a wild guess that most of them are fake. When attempting to write a similar review for this product at a massive online retailer, the 1 star review was halted because all reviews for this product were under investigation and I was immediately offered a return/refund. Please do not fall for the false promises of this product.

Worked great for 3 WEEKS!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as a Christmas present. Worked great, just as advertised, for all of three weeks. After that the sound would go on and off at random intervals. Off more than on! worked just long enough to make it unreturnable. Very Very displeased customer.

Maybe I just got a bad one but
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hooked to my existing TV that previously had a larger and excellent Zvox (moved the 55 inch to my bedroom). The thing sounds terrible. Reminds me of an old transistor radio back in the day. Played with sound settings on TV and the limited choices of its own presets and NOTHING made it sound better. Heading to return the thing today
