Form and Function
I've been searching for this device for many years.
I'm a software developer by trade. I have always wanted a single device on which I could work (primarily at a desk with external monitors and other peripherals) that would also work as a tablet for casual reading, Facebook, Netflix, etc. I have tried many, many devices but always found them not fast enough for my work, too heavy/noisy/cumbersome for casual use, or with terrible battery life for when I need to be mobile. Not anymore! This device is doing it all, and at 2.29 lbs it's lighter than an 11" iPad Pro with a Magic Keyboard. The Phone Link connectivity to my Android phone allows me to reply to texts and make calls while working without getting distracted.
For those who may be uncertain as I was ... yes, the 13" Galaxy Book2 makes a little noise when under heavy load. It isn't actually disruptive in my opinion. My previous computer was a much more expensive, larger laptop with a higher wattage CPU and discrete graphics. It would get so loud under load while working that I'd have to switch to low power mode during meetings. This laptop isn't nearly as loud. And, crucially for me, this laptop has a true Silent/no fans mode for when I want to use it casually and I'm not concerned about having peak performance.
If the thought of a thin and light 2-in-1 intrigues you and you aren't a "content creator" or a hardcore gamer, check this one out.
First things first, the burgundy color is absolutely gorgeous - its the first time I have gotten a product in this color and coming from a long line of blacks and grays, this is just something to behold. Positives - very light, various power modes including silent/max perf, speedy bootup, fast charging. Challenges - port selection, graphics support on games spotty, no pen storage/magnet, pricey. All in all, I’d still recommend this to others for sure and get another for my wife if I could!
I would recommend this to a friend

Very light, well-built 2-in-1 - Almost perfect
Owned for 1 month when reviewed.
A very light, well-built, quality 2-in-1 laptop with 360-degree rotating screen. Unlike some other reviewers, we have not experienced any WiFi connection- or speed-related issues. Both our corporate Galaxy Book2 Pro laptops work seamlessly, with no interruptions, drop-outs or throughput issues on our office WiFi network and at home. The screen is bright, with good colors and contrast, and USB-C ports are on both sides, which is good. (Lenovo laptops, for instance, tend to have all ports on the left side, which is weird). Samsung Update software suggests both firmware and driver updates automatically, which is better than many competitors, where firmware updates are mostly done manually.
Why not the perfect score? None of the below is truly critical, but my wish list for an upscale laptop also includes:
1. An UHD (4K) or at least a QHD screen with more modern proportions, like 3:2 (15:10) compared to 16:9, which is good for movies but not so good for work.
2. A slightly bigger, 13.9" screen would be nice.
2. 2 or more Thunderbolt ports, at least 1 on each side. This one only has a single Thunderbolt port on the left side.
The reason I rate it 4 star as there are some minor issues I am not so satisfied with. When I just got this laptop, there was no speaker. Then the function key control of sound and key board. I am much happier with Lenovo. The reason I did not buy Lenovo instead of this as I like the lightness of this laptop. If there is a light Lenovo, I would choose Lenovo, as I have been using Lenovo for over 3 years and I am quiet happy with them except they are slightly heavier.
This is honestly one of the best laptops out there. The only issues i had which is why im rating it a 3 star is because for the price of it, you would think it wouldnt lag. It laggs big time! Another thing is i think samsung needs to make the s pens magnetic or provide a holder for the pen that connects into one of the usb slots because the s pen is the sole purpose of this laptop being the best so you definitely dont wanna risk losing it!! If you own a samsung that comes with a s pen you could also use it on your laptop which comes in handy for when you wanna draw or color using the spen features from pen up ! You also have the same air action you get on your phone! Dont forget to install pen up on your new device rather its your phone or your brand new samsung galaxy 360 pro2 to enjoy amazing customization of your s pen! Enjoy!
Awesome device in picture. Beautiful screen, great build quality and beautiful slim chassis. Battery life is a bit meh (which could be in part to the 12thgen processor) even in battery saver mode and the only way you can stop this thing from getting extremely hot is to keep it in battery saver mode. You turn off battery saver mode the single fan this laptop has kicks on and the heat builds up fast on the top half of the keyboard likely hurting the battery life even more although I didn't run it not on battery saver mode much. Looked it up online and its apparently a pretty common problem with the 13 inch. Supposedly the 15inch model of this laptop has a second fan and the heat management is much better so if you're okay with a 15 inch laptop I highly recommend this in a 15 inch as so much else of this laptop rocks. Speakers are pretty meh but I didn't expect much from something this thin and light. This really is an awesome laptop but I wish the heat management is better and battery life were a bit better, likely will unfortunately be returning.
This is a lightweight extremely well put together machine. My only issue is with the white lettering on black background for writing purposes. Just not my favorite setup for a person like myself who writes a lot and often. Other than that, it seems to be a decent quality unit. The screen is amazing.
It was time for me to upgrade my home office systems and the people at BestBuy worked with me to obtain the best possible items which fit both my information management needs and my budget. I am delighted with my purchase. Now with my new laptop I can travel with more ease, my laptops versatility has allowed me to reduce the number of items I used to use in my daily tech needs
A:AnswerFrom what I know it has a PCI-E Gen 4.0 nvme which can be upgraded, so YES. The previous gen only had 1 slot, so one would assume this newer gen would also have only 1 slot as well.
Although the larger 15.6" does have two slots in the previous gen so again, I would assume the new gen will also have two slots.
