Great buy...Great lens....It is not a telephoto lens, but a great lens addition to your DSLR as a primary lens....I read somewhere that the lens is not as sharp as some other lens and I respect that but for me this lens is amazing gives me that crisp details from every shot I take.

A great Macro Lens now with IS...Caveat: try your camera body with the lens before buying if possible because it has been my experience that some sigma lenses just work better with some canon bodies!...The best so far...Bought this for my wife who loved her Non IS sigma version but really wanted the IS for hand holding since she didnt want to be carrying the tripod around ALL the time.
Designed for use with Canon DSLR cameras, this Sigma 106101 150mm f/2.8-22 macro lens features a Hyper-Sonic Motor (HSM) for quiet, speedy autofocus. The Optical Stabilization system lets you capture photos in low-light conditions.
Good lens...Love it...It gives a very nicely effect for blurry backgrounds (don't know the right terminology), and also it forces me to move to get the right spot to get everything in frame....I'm absolutely in love with the photos this lens allows me to capture, but if you are looking at lenses, keep in mind that this lens does not have the option to zoom in and out.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens: Capture important moments in your life with this standard lens, which works with your compatible Canon DSLR EF-mount camera. A circular aperture with 7 blades helps you add creative background blur.
I love it...Love it!!...It allowed me to get the background of photos without having to move so far back like my 50 mm lens and it lightened up my photos without me needing to know how to use pro level features...I usually take portrait photos (and this creates beautiful bokeh) but this lens also works great for indoor events especially since the wide aperture allows a lot of light to flow in.
Capture stunning images of wide perspectives with this Canon 9522B002 EF-S wide-angle lens that features an aspheric lens element for high image quality from the center to the edges. The circular, 7-blade aperture delivers soft backgrounds.
Fast motor....Nice lens!...But in general the image quality is the best that you can get, a very very cool lens, the best of the best, if you are searching to take head shots only....The focus is crisp and fast, while being near silent for those times you want to play with hd video (most are loud enough to be perceptible in the captured audio).
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
Great Lens....Great lens...Camera gear is obviously quite expensive, so I've been trying to save money by purchasing lenses that are great, but maybe not praised as much as some of the more popular professional ones....There's another benefit as well; at 85mm, and especially on a crop body like the 40D or 50D, this lens allows you to get some distance from your subject which tends to make them more comfortable, while giving you the modest compression that is the hallmark of any telephoto lens.
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens: Get sharp, clear photos with this Canon medium telephoto lens that delivers vibrant color and clarity with fast, quiet focusing. The 85mm focal length draws attention to your subject and transforms the background into a soft blur for professional-quality portraits and impeccably detailed close-up shots.
I love this...Very sharp....Granted, the Shorty Forty is only an f/2.8, so it'sn't going to give you quite as awesome background blur as a wider aperture like the Nifty Fifty....but the image quality, in my opinion, more than makes up for it....For me this lens is useful for candid and street photography, it makes a camera like the 5D very un-obtrusive and non threatening, my professional cameras look like slightly oversized consumer superzooms with this lens on them and people go back to acting naturally much more quickly than when a giant white lens is pointed at them....I got this to go with the recent cannon camera package I purchased on black Friday.
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Standard Lens: This standard Canon lens offers high-quality image capturing in a small, lightweight lens body, making it a great companion in crowds and public spaces. Its versatile features and easy portability make it especially suited for basic travel, portraits and memento shots.
Nice Glass...A Must Have!...I did a sample test because I could not find one anywhere online that compared the 50mm f/1.8G to the 85mm f1.8G and frankly, this is probably the most common upgrade, not the 1.4mm that internet seems to constantly compare....My 18-200mm lens is very practical, but if you are looking for astonishing picture quality, fixed lenses are the best choice if you don't want to pay couple thousands of dollars.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G Medium Telephoto Lens: Transform every portrait into a work of art with a lens that delivers exceptional image quality and rich color saturation even at wide open apertures. Whether you're capturing headshots, wedding photos or nature images, this medium telephoto lens offers all you need for professional results in almost any lighting conditions.
Good lenses...A must have....Doing 5 weddings this year, but haven't had a chance to use this much for macro yet... but I do a lot of portrait photography, and this lens is super sharp....It takes crystal clear shots and I'm amazed at how well it does even without using a tripod at an extremely close range.

I love it....Fast Lens!...I used this lens for the first time last weekend at a wedding to capture reception details and it was fabulous!...Great lens for taking pictures and all kinds of conditions Great for taking pictures of close-ups and lowlight conditions all-around Lens
