little bit dark - f/4.5 - 5.6 ...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using this lens with Nikon D7000. Your view is from 122 to 83 degree angle. Great to have that tool in tide spots like e.g. lighthouse. It suffers chromatic aberration on 8mm the same with vignetting and astigmatism but from 12mm and up is just good or very good. Koma is in trouble too when shooting stars on the sky... Unfortunately for me the range 8-16mm for my use is not very desirable, I switched back to Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5. Similar problems on lowest focal but much more light and you can photograph some faces as well - distortion is much better managed in Canon.

Great for real estate!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this lens to pair with our Nikon for taking wide angle shots of building exteriors and interiors. We often are cramped for space (even outside between buildings), and this lens perfectly met the need. Great lens and the pictures look great! Note that it isn't the fastest lens, but for our purpose (no action scenes) it works great!

Great image quality!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lens is very sturdy and the image is great in day light. The images are very sharp but its not that great for night photography. If you are looking to buy this lens, I suggest you check out the real item or silmilar items because 8-16mm is really wide. Its not exactly very expensive for a ultra wide angle, but you might want to see if you really need such wide lens.
