Clean and simple way to add satellite radio
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very easy way to add satellite radio to your vehicle, assuming your head unit is Sirus/XM ready. All the controls will be on the head unit, the only thing that is exposed is the magnetic antenna and any coax from the antenna until hidden under the vehicle trim. Picture is of the antenna mounted on the panel between the top and trunk on my Mazda Miata.

Q: QuestionDo I have to mount the antenna from this to use with the Pioneer SiriusXM radio that I've purchased? Or can I use the factory satellite antenna that is already on my car? I only wanted to replace the head unit for the stereo not the antenna. Thank you.
Asked by Michelle.
- A:Answer I was able to make the factory antenna work on my 2010 Charger but that may vary from vehicle to vehicle

Q: QuestionDo you have ANYTHING that will allow me to get Sirius Satellite Radio in my 2019 Ford Escape S (2.5L engine w/4 Inch Screen) It is NOT Satellite Radio Ready (per sirius). The "Onyx" type add ons won't fit this particular situation -
Asked by Moe.
- A:Answer Vais makes units that plug into the factory USB port and display through the factory display. You can also control it through the factory stereo.

Q: QuestionThe site says that this part fits my 2007 Toyota Camry w/Push to start JBL, but how does the display situation work? Will it show the XM stations on my factory stereo? And how many english stations will this actually pick up? Thanks
Asked by Roger.
- A:Answer If you use this device on a factory head unit, the factory HU will need to have native support for XM radio. If you already have XM from the factory, then this will work as an upgraded antenna. If you don't have XM from the factory, then this will not add XM to your vehicle. If you are using this on an aftermarket head unit that is XM ready, then this will work well with JBL head units, and it will pick up any stations that are within your paid subscription. For example, we added this to my 2013 Jeep Wrangler, and it had new stations that the stock head unit and the antenna did not.

Q: Questionis this turner capatible with kenwood dnx7100I need to replace my old turner scc1. scc1 does not work. I need a replacment for my kenwood reciver knx7100.
Asked by monnet.
- A:Answer The online manual for the KENWOOD DNX7100 appears to be "Sat Radio Ready" meaning it's not compatible with the SiriusXM - Connect Satellite Radio Vehicle Tuner. It will have to say "SiriusXM Ready". Please visit your local Best Buy for further details and options.

Q: QuestionWhat do I need to add XM to my Pioneer IVA W200 head unit?
Asked by OBrienTruckers.
- A:Answer The Alpine IVA-W200 is SAT Radio Ready. Unfortunately, the legacy Sirius and XM connection solutions have been discontinued since around 2011. You can search on-line for products like the CNP2000UCA XM Tuner and the CNPALP1 cable - or you want a Sirius solution, you can try and find the Alpine KCA-SC100 and a Sirius SCC1 tuner.
