Pricey for CO2, but not for canister + CO2

Tank as advertised. I checked the weight before removing the seal to ensure the internal seal was intact and the tank was full/ had not leaked. I normally will fill my tanks at a food supply but needed this one asap. I was disappointed as the tank refill expiration date (top of canister) was already past which does not impact this CO2 fill, but does mean I cannot/ should not refill it until I have it recertified/ tested. Just putting this out there... I saw someone suggest going to a paintball/ sportings good store to have their tank refilled. I would highly recommend against that. Sporting goods and paintball store filler tanks and equipment used are not going to be clean or food grade. People use oil on the seals which is not meant for consumption and if you read the warning labels on paintball filler valves and paintball tanks themselves, many have toxin and known carcinogen warnings because of the process and materials used to manufacturer those products.

In the past, I'd lugged home plastic bottles of effervescent flavored waters from the stores. Again, and again, and again --day after day- week after week- month after month- year after year .... I'd lugged them up the stairs and into my home. I'd found the need to make space for the extra bottles in hopes that that I could do the 'toting' chore less frequently. It takes moments to tote the empty carbonator into Best Buy to do an exchange. It's then MONTHS of toting: nothing. I'd used siphons for many years [--in the decades before the ease of internet/Amazon, etc], but bored with the inconvenience/difficulties to find --and to keep/have on hand- the needed chargers ONE trip to tote 1 or 2 cylinders (I have two cylinders, so that I only need to exchange -at most- 2-3 times per YEAR ) NOT a terribly tricky decision here., eh? ;-) An a different tangent: For those trying to kick the cola/soda habit, may I suggest the simplicity of picking up freshly squeezed orange juice to which you can add your SodaStream soda? And/or, the ever-handy frozen pineapple juice in the freezer? It quickly becomes so much less cloyingly sweet when you put a tablespoon into a tall glass filled with soda/turn it into a spritzer

I like the idea that I can easily exchange / trade-in my previous carbonator. However, compared to my first one, this seems to run out quickly. Usually after the 3rd push, you'll hear the "fizz" sound (if you will). And I find my self pressing up to 4 and longer before I hear this magic sound. So now I don't know if I'm running out quickly or it's just my imagination. I would still recommend it though as it's better to just trade it in rather than get another one. In the end, you'll still end up disposing these carbonators when you've decided you don't want Sodastream anymore or something better comes out in the market.

I bought these refill bottles to go with my new soda stream I rec'd for Christmas '17. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if these refill canisters are faulty but they don't seem to add as much carbonation as the one that came with the unit. I bought 2 at the same time, both seem like they are empty sometimes, but I can tell by comparing the weight of the new ones to the empty one I have that they are not. I have disconnected and reconnected several times...I just can't figure out what is up, but I will wait till I know they are good and empty then exchange them for refills, maybe my next ones will work better!

Best Buy, you are a lifesaver! I purchased my Soda Stream soda maker from one of the "Big Box" stores in town and shortly after, they ended their relationship with Soda Stream. I was really peeved when I walked into that store and tried to obtain a new 60L Carbonation Bottle and they didn't have it! I thought I was sunk until a clerk at a local grocery store told me that "BEST BUY" carried all the Soda Stream line - I couldn't believe it! How great is this! I now purchase all my Soda Stream products from my local Best Buy or at Best Buy.com. Thanks again!

Great place to find your soda stream refill/exchange. Bring in your empty one and they will give you $15 off the regular price $30. Totally the best place to find the refill. Some stores in my area no longer have many soda stream products, so i was getting worried. Thankfully best buy has some type of agreement with soda stream that even if they don't carry the actual machine anymore, they will continue the refill/exchange program. Yay!

Was so happy to finally exchange my carbonator since it was empty. Traded mine in and went home to finally be able to use my exchanged carbonator for my sodastream again. was all great till a week after the carbonator was completely empty. I only use my sodastream at least once or twice a day and the exchanged carbonator only lasted for a week or two. Was very disappointed when my main carbonator lasted atleast 2months with lots of use.

I purchased 2 spare carbonators for my SodaStream. Each was supposed to carbonate up to 60 liters however, both bottles only did about 2 liters before becoming empty. Because this happened with both bottles, I suspect Best Buy sold me 2 empty bottles that another customer had returned . Definitely returning. Has anyone had the same experience with the spare carbon stirs? I’ve purchased the brand new, boxed bottles with no issues.
