Q: QuestionIs this lens compatible with the Sony A7 & A6000 full frame cameras?(6 answers)
A: AnswerHi, the A6000 is not a full frame camera. Nonetheless, yes, you can use this with both A6000 and A7 cameras. Thanks_MitchAnswered by SonyListens
- A: AnswerHi Kebe, It is about 2 and a half stop when handheld. It works in conjunction with each other. The camera will control the Roll, X&Y, and the lens will control the Pitch&Yaw. If you turn off IS on the lens then the body will control all 5. Best regards, Zander

Q: QuestionIs the Sony FE 70-300 G OSS an internal or external zoom?(5 answers)
A: AnswerHi Simmy, the SEL70300G is an external zoom lens type. Regards, ZanderAnswered by SonyListens
Q: QuestionHow dependable is this lens and does it need an extended warranty?(3 answers)
A: AnswerI did not purchase the warranty. I trust the reviews I read about reliability. But the BB warranty replaces the lens if you damage it. Scratch, drop, soak and general abuse can justify the plan. I had the lens out is the San Francisco rains without a problem.Answered by Spinner60
- A: AnswerI have used that lens the 24-240 and I own the 70-300. They are both good lenses but the main thing to consider is what range you are trying to cover. I also own the 24-105 G lens so for me the 70-300 was the way to go. If you’re looking for a single lens to use I would recommend the 24-105 it’s what I have on my camera most of the time on vacation. I only switch to the 70-300 in situations where I can’t walk closer to the subject - like sports of wildlife. But if you have no lens right now and want to cover as much variety as possible the 24-240 is a good choice. Something also worth mentioning - the G isn’t just about the glass - it also has better focusing elements. Both the 24-105g and the 70-300g lock focus much faster than the 24-240 especially in low light.

- A: AnswerI'm using the lens on a A6300. I find that it works great and don't use a teleconverter. These were shot about 40 feet away.

Outstanding zoom lens
I got this lens because I wanted something superior to the kt 55-210 mm zoom lens. It was OK, but I wanted a lens that produces excellent photos and this one does. What's going for it? On a crop sensor camera like my A6500, the 70-300 mm lens becomes a 105-450 mm lens. It has OSS, optical steady shot technology, which will help with a little shaky hand, this is a heavy lens. It works well as I do a lot of shooting without support. As you can see in the picture of the lens, it has a few features like switching from auto focus to manual focus, turning on or off steady shot and limiting the focus range. As for the sharpness, you will not be disappointed. It is very, very sharp. In the photo below, I shot this little guy munching on what is left of my watermelon. The colors are rich and saturated and the image of the beetle is very sharp. Using my A6500, I was zoomed in at 300 mm and near minimum focus, and you can see the detail and colors, just beautiful. Due to the size of the original photo, I had to do a little cropping. Overall I can't complain about this lens. I knew it was heavy, but I've had heavier in the past. It appears well made and feels very solid. The feel of the zoom ring is smooth and not loose. I can recommend this for the price. And I do recommend purchasing full frame lens for the Sony crop sensor cameras because one day you may want a full frame Sony body like the A7 full frame models. Sony made the wise decision to keep the mount identical so full frame lens work flawlessly on crop sensor bodies. We just benefit using the best part of the lens on the crop sensor .

Terrific lens for nature shots and sports shots
So far I have used this lens mostly on nature trails, but I've used the sports function on my camera - Sony A6000 - and it's fast, super fast. The clarity is crystal clear and it can reach way out there, which is what I need to capture my daughter playing soccer. It's a little heavy, so I can imagine using for a whole game would get tiresome on the shoulders. I would recommend a monopod if you don't already have one.

Excellent Lens, a must have
I have no complains about this lens. the build quality is awesome, quality of the pictures is even better. Lens is heavy, but well balanced. zoom ring is smooth and not too long. images are surprisingly sharp corner to corner. This is the best Telezoom lens i have ever owned!
