Q: If the baskets are removed can the shelves alone be used? Or is ventilation needed between them?
A: I don’t think the shelves are meant to store directly on them because they are built to convey the cold and ventilation is most likely needed. It’s better to use the basket because you can easily see what’s in them and the freezer is not meant to stay open long. I really like the baskets, they are very roomy and easy to pull in and out without having to look in the back of the shelves.
Q: Can this freezer be used as an undercounter appliance or are there reasons why it can't be?
A: The freezer needs proper ventilation...you should allow a minimum of 8 inches on the sides...4inches at the back and 12 inches at the top of the unit.
Q: Can this be used in a hot garage?
A: used it in my hot kitchen. don't have air and it ran in the 100' - 120' this past summer hope that helps
A: I measured the bottom basket (I think all 3 are identical?) and its dimensions are approx: 8 1/2 wide, 13 1/2 long, and 7 deep.

A: No shelves, even on the door. Not frost free.

A: It is three pronged.

A: Ours was doubled boxed and I do not believe the outer box showed what it was.

Perfect size
This is a perfect size for my wife and I. We didn’t need a large freezer, so this smaller one is just right. It’s very quiet and keeps things well frozen. We are in our upper 60’s and the lower shelf is a little low for us, so I built a wooden platform for the freezer to sit on. It raised the freezer a full foot off the floor making easier to reach things on the bottom.

Works well for freezer overflow during Covid.
This little freezer is perfect for all the extra food I'm freezing to avoid having to go to the grocery store. The first one arrived dented on the bottom right corner, probably due to box drop, so it would not sit level on the floor. Best Buy immediately ordered a replacement to be shipped, which was in good condition. Took quite awhile and some follow up phone calls to get the dented one picked up, but it's gone now. I'm still having a hard time finding the right setting to keep it at 0 degrees, tending to -3 to -5. But it holds quite a bit. I like the drawers and it's a good height next to the counter. Just right for now till we have room in the garage for a bigger one, but it's very handy having it in the kitchen.
