Great reception, but wait for a sale
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOrdinarily, I wouldn't even consider paying close to $100 for an antenna, and I didn't here, either. I caught this one on sale for $40, and I'm glad I did. Some reviewers indicated they got good reception even inside the house and didn't bother to mount it outside. I wasn't quite so lucky, but that's partly because I live in a stucco home, and the mesh cage is not kind to electronic signals (cell phone reception, radio/tv broadcasts, etc.). My reception indoors was good on the channels I could pick up, but there was no position I could find that would get all the channels I should get. However, when I moved it outside, where it's supposed to be, it worked like a charm. I didn't want to climb on the roof until I determined whether or not the reception was good enough to keep the antenna, and if so, the best direction to aim it. I used the included mounting hardware to clamp it to a chain link fence post next to the house and ran the cable into the house via the connection previously used by the cable company (a.k.a. The Evil Empire). The reception was excellent, even with the antenna just 3' off the ground. I then ran the input into a signal splitter and sent the feed to three different televisions in various rooms in the house. The signal strength was still excellent (though only "good" on some of the "sub" channels), even picking up stations 50-plus miles away. In fact, the signal was so good, I decided not to risk life and limb climbing on the roof, and the antenna continues to be mounted to my fence post. I can't yet speak to the durability of it, because I simply haven't had it long enough. It's survived a couple summer storms, but it remains to be seen how it handles the cold, snow and ice of a Minnesota winter. Other than that, I'd highly recommend picking one up. But unless you're just desperate to have reception now, wait for a good sale, as you should be able to get it for significantly less than the list price.

We've tried a variety of antennas this is the BEST
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI bought a variety of antennas for over the air DTV broadcast stations in Miami. Although there are many local stations in this market, our home is in South Miami-Dade and most of the broadcast transmitters are in the northeast. I bought one and tried it in the back of my home (south side). WOW, we finally got most of the stations. Went back to Best Buy to purchase two more TERK Omnidirectional Flat-Panel HDTV Outdoor Antennas. On the north side of house I get 44 stations so we are pleased with the station choices. If you purchase this antenna you can get quality HDTV stations WITHOUT the BIG monthly BILL for Xfinity, DirectTV or Comcast. This is designed for outdoor mounting but I prefer not to drill holes in my house so we are using these indoors with great satisfaction.

50 mile range, Great Reception, Zero Signal Loss
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWe kept seeing our cable bills go up. Visited relatives in NM with similar antenna, decided to try it out. Great decision! For $95 (with tax), we save $80 per month! Only regret is not doing it sooner. Able to reach about 40 channels, but got rid of 15 or so we weren't interested in. Channels are easy to set up, delete, and select. Only limitation is that channel names cannot be renamed, but this is not a drawback--only a suggestion to the manufacturer for future possible improvement. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and would recommend it to anyone who wants to SAVE MONEY!

Dumped Time Warner Cable& their ever rising bills
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI purchased this antenna prior to saying good bye to TWC, I tried it in an upstairs bedroom and fed the signal back to the cable split-er and connected it to the kitchen TV for about a month, I then tested the other TV's by feeding the signal to the rest of them and all get great reception, we receive 24 digital station,(4 of which I wouldn't watch, 2 duplicates). All major networks and their additional stations as well as PBS come in as good as cable and I am saving between $80 and $100 per month. I hear when the government approves the TWC/Comcast Deal the rates will go through the roof.

Works great!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have "the Leaf" because people have raved about it, but it doesn't work nearly as good as this product. No comparison; I'm serious. I am very, very satisfied with this purchase.
