Immediately after 11-year-old David Glatzel and his family move to Brookfield, Connecticut, supernatural things start happening, with him seemingly being the main target. As he begins to exhibit strange behavior and have waking nightmares of different demonic entities, the Glatzels call on Catholic priests and paranormal experts, Ed and Lorraine Warren, to help them cleanse their home of the evil it houses.
