Roy Courtnay (Ian McKellen) has made a successful living as a smooth con artist. On an online chatroom, he crosses paths with wealthy widow Betty McLeish (Helen Mirren), who seems like the perfect opportunity for one last con. However, the deeper Roy falls into Betty's life, the deeper his emotions run for her. What he thought would be a straightforward swindle unfolds into a significantly more complicated moment in his life. Directed by Bill Condon.
Never-before-seen moments that didn't make it to screen
I rarely give any movie 5 stars, But this one deserves all 5 of them.
The Acting is superb. Storyline is phenomenal.
We have watched this 3 times so far, and still;
you do never see the ending coming.
Popcorn, soda, and maybe even a few tissues.
Want something sweet? Try "revenge"
Enjoy. and be well.
Helen Mirren & Ian McKellen are PROS in there krafts!
I love this movie! I love them both and have seen everything they’ve ever been in. I wish I could meet them in person.
You follow the storyline and think you know how it will end, then you’re confused, then the realization hit you out of left field and you like “OMG I didn’t see that coming “!
I missed this movie in theaters and saw this at Best buy for a great price and we just got a new tv so I figured now was a good chance to pick this up and I was not disappointed.
If you like movies in the vein The Sting and has lots of twists this movie is for you.
