Beautiful Movie
|Posted .There are a few movies that my first word to describe them is beautiful, and this is one of them. There are moments of humor and sadness, but the overwhelming impression it leaves on me is "beautiful". Made by some of the same people behind the film Chocolat, the two films are very similar in tone and subject matter and themes. The Hundred-Foot Journey is a film about appreciating food, the way food brings people together, community, loving the people around you, welcoming new people and experiences, and working towards your passion. There is a mysticism to the tone of the film that fills it with a sense of hopefulness and purpose, but it never reaches unbelievable heights as the film stays grounded in the sincerity of its characters as they work to overcome a variety of struggles.

Amazing Heartfelt Story
|Posted .This movies touches on the basic human factor and points out how our differences can be celebrated and join us as easily as divide us. The cast all deliver very believable and genuine performances that help to draw you into the story line early on. The imagery and cinematography are so rich and lush that you will either be reminded of the time you were in those areas, or crave going and seeing them in person if you have never traveled there. The piece-de-resistance is the fact the food, which is central to the story-line, makes you want to have an Indio-Franco dinner after watching.

Deliciously Entertaining
|Posted .A film full of tragedy, hate, love, romance and amazing cooking. After the death of their matriarch, an Indian family travels country to country trying to find a new place to call home. As they stumble their way to France they decide to open a new restaurant. However, their location is within a 100 feet of a prominent restaurant in which the owner does not want to have anything to do with the new family. watch as hate turns to love and see a divided family become united.
