Setting : A small unimpressive diner in the middle of the desert.
Plot: A news bulletin comes on the radio describing a recent murder in the town the diner is located in, shortly after a stranger that looks somewhat intimidating comes in to grab a bite to eat and gets accused of being the killer by the ignorant locals. Then the proverbial you-know-what hits the fan.
Lesson: Without giving away too much of the movie, here is what i ultimately take away from it and what i interpret its message to be - Treat others how you would want to be treated, dont base everything off looks, give people the benefit of the doubt. If you had been driving for hours in the desert and stopped in to get something to eat, would you want to be accused of murder with no proof whatsoever?? Of course not, so recognize that to treat someone like that is wrong, and if you do it to the wrong person you may just end up in a world of hurt.
This movie completely rules but often gets bad reviews from other people on the internet. People never know whats cool, they usually hate anything that isnt massive budget hollywood oriented with extremely mainstream actors, concepts, etc.
Give this movie a chance and i almost guarantee you'll enjoy it, and you'll also realize why they decided to title it the killing jar. On my top 10 best films of all time list.
