Quick was made for 4k
|Posted .This movie was made for 4k. Little bit of grainyness. Thats normal with 1:85 ratio. Sharon Stone's best movie. Gene Hackman was great as usual. A great cast in this movie. Makes it one of the great westerns of all time

Gritty Gunslinging
|Posted .The Quick and the Dead is a must have right off the top, if you are a westerns fan this is a top 10 movie that delivers. An all star cast of hollywood greats in some of their best acting roles, powerful dramatic performances, awesome action. The 4K Blu-Ray picture has been remastered, with sharp, clean detail after detail that pulls you in as if you are seeing it for the first time. The soundtrack has been given the 4K Treatment as well with each gunshot and explosion shaking the room. One of the best gunfighter movies of all time, a must have.

Western, Raimi-style
|Posted .Raimi's quick close-ups and sporadic camera movements are well-paired with a movie about a deadly quick-draw contest. Gene Hackman plays this role like the one he played in "Unforgiven." Sharon Stone is surprisingly vulnerable and unsure of herself, which fits her character and is refreshing for a Western movie hero. Leo is young and cocky, as one would expect, and Russel Crowe's character is even a little unique. The story is very biblical and magnanimous almost to the point of fantasy, but that works well in the Western genre where anything goes if you got the stones and some guns.

Unusual and an imaginative Western story-line.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a hoped-up Western with a unusual and an imaginative story-line. One thing for certain it does not lack imagination nor is it short on violence. The film had a very talented front-line of acting crews and the “extras” were also great personalities. The cinematography took advantage of natural light and effectively caught the essence of each scene. The director was very successful in bringing all the film components together in a very effective way, and produced both a memorable film and a pleasurable view
