The Walking Dead Season Six takes viewers on a wild ride!! Our remaining characters from the last season return to deal with more walkers and continue to struggle within themselves as they are really The Walking Dead in this season. New characters arrive, lots of walkers are killed, tensions are high, there are internal struggles, love triangles, disagreements, losses, wins, deaths, victories, triumphs and tragedies. If you have followed the comics then you know what I am talking about. The biggest cliffhanger of all time hangs in the balance with the worst character of all time arriving Neegan to make his point as his arrival always means the death of someone. Rick and his Alexandria crew have wiped out many of the Saviors, however Neegan has hundreds maybe thousands of followers which greatly out number the group which has had it the Rick Way for 6 years..well its time for a change and someone, if not more than one are going to pay a very dear price and meet Lucille for the first and last time. Hats off to AMC for keeping the show Number One for 6 Years on Cable T.V. From the way interviews have gone it appears The Walking Dead will last fro 10 years and then finally be over. I will say I have met many of the stars from this show and the success it has found it overwhelming to them, but most satisfying. Frank Darabont captured lightning in a bottle. Great performances by Norman Reedus, Danai Guirra, Steven Yuen, Michael Cudlitz, Lauren Cohan, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan..if you like the comics, if you like zombies, if you like dramatic relationships, & a post apocalyptic world..check this out...

Season six is quite possibly my favorite season after the original. Seasons four and five really dragged for me to the point that I almost gave up on it, but I was intrigued by the last half of season five when they found Alexandria. Season six had a lot of action, suspense, and controversial cliffhangers. This review will contain some spoilers! The group must not only deal with over 1,000 zombies trying to invade Alexandria but they have to fight off more evil groups of people such as the Wolves and the Saviors. Morgan was given his very own solo episode that shows why throughout this season he lives by his 'All life is precious' motto, but the action and storytelling make up for it. My top 3 favorite episodes are JSS when the Wolves attack and Carol really steps up her 'Rambo' game, Not Tomorrow Yet when Rick leads a full on assault against a group of sleeping Saviors, and Last Day on Earth, the hugely controversial episode that ends on a massive cliffhanger. Rick Grimes steps into a much larger world when he meets Paul Rovia, who goes by the nickname, Jesus. Jesus leads Rick and his people to the Hilltop where they learn about the Saviors and their leader, Negan. Negan may very well be the toughest adversary Rick and his group has faced yet. If you love the show, I highly recommend THE WALKING DEAD: SEASON 6!!!

Though I enjoyed season 6 more than season 5, it really is just a constant repeat on the same story. Some neat sequences don't get me wrong - entertaining also in all to a point, yes. But it's just the same old story over and over. Rick's group yet again finds a sanctuary, but I guarantee you that they will lose it yet again, just like they have three times before. Because the writers can't keep writing about a stationary location. The show just has no longevity, no real purpose (to survive?, bah after six seasons I want more). How about they try to find a vaccine? So if you die, you don't turn. Hey I'd even be pleased to see them actually try to find out anything about the virus - more than the worthless non-believable first season CDC guy . OR How about they actually try to find any true USA government officials or military around? They do nothing like this. The show has no hope, no future, just more and more characters they write up that are just little puppet dictators power-mongers who run around being thugs and murders. You want to see a great apocalypse-type show, then watch The Last Ship.

Began watching this series on Netflix over the summer. I am NOT a zombie fan and had absolutely ZERO interest in this series. During the summer my yearly motorcycle trip takes me through Georgia and a friend routed us to where they film TWD. While knowing absolutely nothing about the series I visited the film sites, went to the TWD store and cafe and walked into Norman's bar. (When I discovered Norman Reedus starred in this show I figured I'd watch an episode as I am a huge fan of Boondock Saints.) WOW!!!! I am so addicted to this series! I binge-watched seasons 1 - 5 and was sooooo disappointed when I realized Season 6 had already aired on AMC. The very day Season 6 was released on DVD...I was holding a copy in my hand!!! Now....I wait patiently (hardly!) for season 7 on AMC. This DVD set has a few extras that were neat to view. I never knew some of the actors were British!

This season of The Walking Dead continues its established trend of delivering everything fans of the genre would wish for and more! While I was disappointed that a commemorative edition of this season was not offered like had been the case in all previous seasons, there are a multitude of ways for fans to get TWD merchandise, so that is less of an issue than I had anticipated. I am delighted that the blue ray version came with a digital copy so that I can easily access my content while traveling through my UV library on nearly any device. I highly recommend this franchise and this season of TWD to all zombie fans (although I suspect most already are watching just like me!).

Any season of The Walking Dead is worth the price, and season 6 is no exception. From the attempt to lure the pit of walkers until the end of the season, it was a never-ending thrill ride while still continuing character development, For those that watch the season on TV, the viewer knows the anxiety of how the producers choose the stopping points of the mid-season as well as the season finale. Luckily, the viewer can binge watch the dvd or blu-ray version of the season. As always, I enjoy the extras (commentary, alternate Neegan scene, etc.) I highly recommend purchasing any season of The Walking Dead for the true fan; the extras alone are worth it,

I've followed a small handful of modern TV shows & often find they run too long for their own good. I've enjoyed TWD since the beginning & started to get that fear around season 4. It had already reached immense popularity and that can often be the death knell for something of quality. However, the production team seems utterly unwilling to allow that to happen, as they've come back with another dark, emotionally rich & very fun season. The ending is one of the darkest cliffhangers I feel like I've seen anywhere in many years. Hails to writers, directors, actors, FX people, producers & everyone else who bring these characters to life for us!
