    Transporter 3
Strong-armed into transporting the kidnapped daughter of the head of the Environmental Agency for the Ukraine from Marseilles to Odessa, skilled wheelman Frank Martin (Jason Statham) enlists the aid of Inspector Tarconi (François Berléand) in accomplishing the treacherous assignment in this action-packed installment of the popular action series produced by Luc Besson (who also co-scripts). Frank isn't exactly thrilled with his latest assignment, but when his employer turns up the pressure, he has little choice but to deliver. His cargo is a feisty young girl named Valentina (Natalya Rudakova) -- who just happens to be the daughter of Leonid Vasilev (Jeroen Krabbé), the powerful top dog of the Ukraine EPA. Now, as Frank makes his way through Stuttgart and Budapest on the road to the Black Sea, Vasilev's men besiege his car from all sides, and his cynical young passenger gets a bad case of Stockholm Syndrome. As the driver and his cargo grow increasingly close, they both realize that making even a single mistake could cost them dearly. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Excellent Way to Close the Series, Happy Ending!

Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is back and this time he is forced to transport Valentina (Natalya Rudakova), an objectionable young woman, across Europe by a group of villains who have fitted Frank and Valentina with explosive bracelets. If either of them move more than 75 feet away from Frank's car, their bracelet will explode. Given all of the other reviews that I have read of "The Transporter 3", I went in to this film expecting to be disappointed and was pleasantly surprised when I wasn't. Although the script is not quite as good as Luc Besson's previous film, "Taken", this is more than made up for by the awesome stunts and martial arts sequences (choreographed by Cory Yuen, who was responsible for the action sequences in the previous two films). Two action sequences in particular, one involving Statham effectively performing a striptease while fighting half a dozen villains, and the grand finale on the train, are alone worth the price of admission. One of the main criticisms that had been leveled at this film is that the heroine is distractingly ugly and annoying. Although Rudakova and Statham seem to have absolutely no chemistry between them at all and I did wonder why Frank Martin was even remotely interested in Valentina, she wasn't so annoying as to ruin the film for me. Valentina is meant to be objectionable, and keeping that in mind, I actually thought Rudakova did a good job of playing her. As for her looks, I didn't think she was bad looking, just different, and I actually thought it was nice to see someone who didn't look the same as every other Hollywood heroine. As for Jason Statham, I am still not certain as to whether he can act or not, but who really cares. Statham became famous because of his personality and his martial arts skills and both are again on display.

      not what I expected

I saw this movie because I thought it would be non-stop action for most of the movie but instead there is a very annoying love story that made me want to gag half way through the movie. As for the action and chase sequences the cinematography used is absolutely horrible. Each of these scenes are edited so frantically it made me sort of dizzy. And the camera speed during these scenes is almost twice as fast as normal speed. With poor camera angles and scenes that fly past so quickly it is almost impossible to comprehend what is going on. The story is pretty weak and I really didn't get it ; it was something about a prime minister who had to sign an enviromental bill to save his kidnapped daughter I think. Either way if you're looking for non-stop action and suspense without cheesy romance this is not a movie worth watching.

      Back for one more round.

Ok so if you've seen any of these, you know what your in for. An action packed romp of a B movie, which is just plain fun if you don't take it too seriously. However, this movie dropped the ball for me and let up on some of the action to focus on too much of a love interest. But when the action happpens, it's great as usual. I wouldn't normally have picked this one up, but if your like me and have the other two sequels, I had to complete my collection. Don't pick this one up if you've never seen the first two, give them a try first to see if this is your kind of movie.

      Awful movie

I saw this movie thinking it would be a good film but it is not. This has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The romance in this movie is so annoying I had too fast forward most of it. The action sequences are pretty bad. The camera angles during the car chases and fight scenes are awful and the camera speed during these shots makes it fly by so fast that you can't even see it. The story is confusing at best. In the end this movie is a Quatum of Solace wannabe.

Time to cease on Transporter series

I completely agree with other reviewers on this dismal 3rd attempt to drain public wallets with the Transporter series. This one is nothing more than trying to benefit with the previous efforts and Jason Statham. The plot to this is flat and the action sequences as noted before are nothing more than a blur. I really like Jason and have quite a few of his films, but with this, it's time to put the Transporter line to bed!

This movie is good! A lot of stunts and a lot of action! Though this movie is not as good as first movie, it is better than the second movie. Jason Statham does a great job acting once again! Recommend you watch this movie! PQ: Outstanding Video! Better than the first 2 movies! It was crystal clear and sharp! AQ: The Audio is amazing! DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1, is a great audio track for the movie! Loud!

      Bought it for 7.1...

Stayed for the movie. For real, I got it to test out my new receiver as the least expensive action Blu-ray with 7.1 audio. The first Transporter was entertaining and this one had all the same elements (I skipped the second). If you're looking for a good action flick with plot as a secondary thought (but not completely forgotten), pick this up!

      Good, but not great!!!

I purchased this movie to complete the collection. The first was great, 2nd left a little to be desired & I was hoping this would be perfect.... Didn't happen. At best, it has a replay value of boring Saturday afternoon with nothing else interesting on tv (i.e no football games on)
