An inspiring true story
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendLouis Zamperini is a track and Olympic champion who go to WWII where his plane crashed, spent 47 days in a raft, rescued and tortured by Japaneses until returned home where he was presumed dead. This is when he starts to fight his demons with the post war stress disorder and also a career ending injury when trying to come back as a track athlete. He blamed God for his traumas but his wife, a devoted Christian managed him after many struggles to go to a service presided by Billy Graham. His conversion and peace with himself makes him reborn in the faith of the Lord. Movie may be a little slow but honors the veterans and how the Lord guide us in mysterious ways to the point that he forgave the Japs that tortured him as a POW. Keep it during closing credits for real footage of Louis Zamperini and Billy Graham (RIP).

An inspirational movie
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis movie was excellent. It was passionate without being preachy, and the lead characters had real onscreen chemistry, which is not always something present in films like this. The message was definitely a positive Christian one, though the majority of the plot had a very human, relatable feel that might draw in the most skeptical of people. I enjoyed it and found it to be inspirational. If a man can forgive captors who tortured him relentlessly, it made me think of my own attitude towards people who have done far less to me. Definitely worth seeing!!!

What happened after the first Unbroken movie?
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis true story is inspiring! He comes back from war different than he left. I loved how we viewed the impact it took on his marriage, yet his wife had the strength to stay, stand by him and witness how incredibly his life changed. Not for children but good for teenagers and above. See Unbroken first, then watch Unbroken: Path to Redemption.
