I'm mostly a rock and roll listener. I like some classical also, like Debussy and Stravinsky. So I was skeptical when my friend was raving about this album. I like world music but I've never been a new age fan unless you call Mike Oldfield new age, which I don't. Anyway, she was talking non-stop about how good it is and says that it's changing her life. So I bought it. At first I was pleasantly surprised. The first track is very active. The ethnic drumming actually reminded me a bit of John Bonham. The other tracks were nice too. They relaxed me in a way that was not a sleepy-relaxed but a wide-awake functioning on all cylinders relaxed. So I kept listening. Sometimes at home, sometimes in the car etc. Now I am hooked. I love this album. Unlike some new age music (like Moby's "Long Ambients1") this is not music that puts you to sleep. This is music that wakes you up. Thank you Sarah!
I would recommend this to a friend
