CD reissue. Delinquent Habits is an American hip hop group, formed in South East Los Angeles in 1991. They are known for their Latin-tinged rap, which is both melodic and hardcore. 'Delinquent Habits' is their debut studio album. This is a very very Hispanic inflected rap album. The emcees all have great accents and slide in and out of English and Spanish like the two are the same thing. The main difference between them and the others is that they use many Mexican samples in their beats, this really adds a special flavour to the group and allows them to combine their roots with the new sound of hip hop.

Ray really broke through on Atlantic starting in '54; these 2 CDs, though, take US to the top as we hear the earliest glimpses of the genius that would flower into the Genius of Soul. Listen as his smooth Nat King Cole-style R&B starts to fuse with gospel and blues; his hits Confession Blues; Baby Let Me Hold Your Hand, and Kissa Me Baby join How Long Blues; See See Rider; I'll Do Anything but Work; Honey Honey; Lonely Boy; This Love of Mine; Ain't That Fine; Someday 50 tracks including bonus Bill Samuels cuts!
