Earlier today I chatted with someone online and confirmed that I had insurance on the Galaxy note 10 and today was the last day they told me to go ahead and make an appointment and that geek squad in the store would help me. Today my dad went to geek squad and he got told that today was actually not coved and that the plan expired today and that it was not included. At the same time my actual account still shows me that my phone is still "protected". I then called Best Buy to figure out what was going on and why my dad wasn't helped when it clearly says that the phone was still protected and even they said it told them that the plan was still active until tomorrow. The first person I spoke to was very nice and tried to help me as much as she could and she then transferred me to Geek Squad where I then waited for an hour to be assisted. The second person I spoke to was nice at first and then was very rude when I calmly asked for an explanation as to why it said I still had protection and yet they didn't help my dad when he made an appointment and went to Geek Squad in person to get his phone checked out before his plan actually expired tomorrow. I then pointed out how rude she was being when I was simply asking a question and trying to understand how that was possible. I asked if I could then speak to someone else that could explain it and she said yes that she would go look for someone, I waited for about 10 min before she came back and said she hadn't found anyone that could help me but she could transfer me, but instead she ended the call. I then got on the chat since I thought I would have more luck that way they got to me pretty quickly but very soon when I explained my situation they transferred me over to another department. I have currently been waiting on a chat for over 50 mins and still nothing.

Purchased to use instead of my carriers insurance. I recently had to attempt to use it because my phone isnt charging. I was directed to Samsung since its still under warranty, then redirected back to Best Buy to be told there's nothing they can do at this time. Not a happy customer and will more than likely be switching back to my carrier's insurance.

Shout out to Geek Sqaud for always looking out for me and my smartphone. I am a clutz, always breaking stuff.....so you can imagine how much time I spend with Geek Sqaud. They are much cheaper than Sprint and much more dependable. Plus I dont have to worry about getting the run around. I just swing by a Best Buy store...drop my phone off and wait on them to call me when its ready to be picked up. Thankfully they have never failed me yet.

This plan saved me a few dollars. I dropped my phone at work,unknowingly I ran my lift over it. To my chagrin I saw the phone it had 2 cracks on the screen,i knew I had a problem. When I got off work I went to Best Buy got looked up in the system had the phone checked found out it was unrepairable and walked out with a new phone,my deductible was only 11dollars.I can’t complain. The Geeks at Best Buy are awesome, with Wal-Mart Warrantys you have to send your phone off and wait for a replacement or a check to buy a new one. At Best Buy you simply walk in and they either fix it or replace it that same day. I always buy the warranty's at Best Buy. If you spend 7 8 or $900 dollars on a phone why not protect your investment.

Cracked glass is a big problem for cell phones that I have seen.lost or stolen is covered as well.Deductable for 199 is not bad for a 912 dollar phone.

I like have the piece of mind of having insurance on my new phone. I wish that they reverted back to when there wasn't a deductible or fee when using the sevice

However, my very new phone had issues and BB would not replace it because it took me 1 1/2 months to determine that the problem was with that original phone. Replacement would not be guaranteed to be new. And replacement would still cost about $150. So I did not use BB this time around for replacement or repair.

Before they change the policies the insurance was amazing with no co-pay replacing the phone without question but then they started a new repair type of insurance which I ended up getting a new phone anyways because they repaired it 9 times and kept sending me back a substandard repair so they waste money by not swapping it

During the purchase of my new phone I was asked if I wanted to add protective insurance. At the time I added it; but an unpleasant surprise was in store for me. First of all, because I got the phone from best buy, Sprint charges an extra $25/month for a discounted device fee. Secondly, I already have insurance and protection on the phone through my provider. Third, and most important, I can't cancel the plan from best buy. Now I am stuck paying an extra $10 bucks a month for an insurance that I don't need, but at least I earn reward points.

Recently had to use the geek squad coverage for a galaxy S7 that was damaged by being dropped. No issues with the coverage at all. Got a replacement phone no questions asked. Geek squad made a bad situation a better one and did it in a very timely manner. Very pleased with the coverage.

Since I purchased the phone from best buy, I thought it was only fitting to purchase the insurance. I never have issues waiting and the geek squad always seems available so I thought it was a much better alternative than waiting in the Sprint store for help or having to submit a claim online.

What can I say about Geek Squad that is not already known they are a much worthy service and worth every penny for what is covered it is a no hassle type of coverage for whatever it is your purchase.. I would not walk out of the store without adding this to any of my products

I will never not get this plan. I bought a smart watch that started crapping out almost at the end of the plan and was able to get a replacement/upgrade by paying the difference from old vs new. Love that deal!!

The geek squad has always been there to help me with my phone protection needs so I only use their insurance. With 2 to choose from you're sure to get the right deal for you. I have the complete package so if I break or lose my phone I'm still covered and don't have to buy another phone full price out of pocket. Life saver!

The geek squad phone protection turned out to be slightly cheaper than the service provider's plan. I have not needed to use it and file a claim so I can not speak to service standards.

Protection I will likely never need but feel so much better having it because lord knows I would actually need it the day I actually decided not to extend my coverage. It covers just about everything on your phone and will replace a destroyed phone twice during the period of coverage.

This review is solely about the Best Buy Insurance coverage program. It is hands down the best insurance on the market from ANY Cell Carrier and has much more coverage than anyone else! Thank you BB for such an awesome program!

Accidently cracked my screen on my S6 Edge. Instead of replacing it with a refurb one, I was given $699.00 via gift card to spend as I pleased. I purchased a new to own, not leased S8+. Naturally I had to add some extra cash, it was well worth it. Bought same warranty again!

I buy Geek Squad protection for every electronic item that I purchase. They are fast, efficient and treat those of us who are not electronically brilliant kindly. I got a quick overview of my new Note8 which really helped as it is quite different from my earlier note.
