23 1/2 Hours Leave - DVD

Approaching the end of his twenties and his relative youth, a man decides to quit his cushy desk job and 'embrace life' - only to realize he has no idea what to do with this newfound freedom.

This surreal and darkly comic road movie begins with a woman meeting two aberrant hitchhikers at a laundromat. Inviting the pair to come along with her for the ride, the three of them are thrown into a dreamlike world of bizarre encounters and sinister mind games where nothing ever ends - not even with death.

Nolan Hayes (Walker) arrives at a New Orleans hospital with his pregnant wife, Abigail (Rodriguez), who has gone into early labor. Things quickly spiral out of control when the birth goes tragically wrong and Hurricane Katrina hits, ravaging the hospital and forcing an evacuation. With his baby dependent on a ventilator and no one around to help, Nolan faces one life-and-death decision after another and must fight to keep his daughter alive.
