3Pod - Everest H4 Ball Head With Arca-Type Quick Release and Lever-Release Clamp 55Lbs Capacity

The 3POD Everest Series H4 Ballhead are the generously feature-laden class of 3POD ballhead. Everest is great for a wide variety of serious tripods and monopod solutions and sports the most rigid CNC forged, anodized aluminum, wear-resistant finish. An innovative flip-lock clamping quick-release plate lets you rapidly lock and release cameras with one hand. In line with all 3POD's signature ballhead gems, the H4 employs state-of-the-art ergonomic design, damping for flawlessly smooth movement, and jitter-free panning. At the base of the head, a convenient inscribed 360° scale makes for easy, perfect positioning throughout the ballhead's full range of panoramic movement. 2 bubble levels, 1 on the head perimeter, and a 180° circular bullseye, next to the lock knob, assure absolute alignment in any 3-dimensions - Horizontal axis, Vertical axis, and Zenith/Arc leveling. The dual drop-in channels support vertical portrait orientation without stress to the clamping mechanism. Assume any position and gear up to an incredible 55-pound load securely and reliably for the shot. QR Dual Lock Operation - True Lever Magic One outstanding advancement of Everest Ballheads is its ease of use. The magic starts with our flipping thumb-operated Lever Lock. Go through the motions to enjoy the moment. The attachment process is simple and secure. The most extraordinary QR Arca plate locking device for the ballhead is the three-position thumb lever on the side of the platform. As Arca QR plates vary slightly from brand to brand, our smart lock adjusts to grasp the width correctly and snugly at the user's whim. Any Arca-style plate will fit within the clamp jaws. Adjust the width of the rails of the lever lock clamp by tightening or loosening the screw mechanism on the lever lock. Heads Up! The Everest H4 and H2 are more than just pretty heads. Ergonomics, ingenious leverage, precision drag, and friction deliver absolute reliability for the confident image maker. Once set decisively, the head holds a position at any angle. Note the lock knob opposite the flip lock. Rotation of the panoramic head platform orbit. Even when the base is level with the horizon, the camera's tilt maintains a true smooth pan despite the skewed position. The panoramic 360½e rotation is also controlled by a base locking knob. A convenient calibrated scale is engraved on the base perimeter for accurate, calculated execution. Hangover time. A vertical or portrait position is easily achieved. The dual U-shaped channels house the neck of the head platform base that is attached to the ball. The two notches guarantee support and security for the off-center placement of the camera. Even the best photographer gets a hangover, once in a while. 3POD Everest represents the most advanced camera support system to carry the brand proudly. This ballhead is just one element of the superb craftsmanship typical to the Everest challenge. Qlip Qwip Get on the Ball! The ease and immediacy of a BALL HEAD for a tripod. This is the simplest method of camera support on a tripod to position the imagemaking device at the photographer's command choice. Traditionally, tripods are graced with a head that serves to attach a camera and provide alignment for as many as 3 planes: Horizontal axis, Vertical axis, and Zenith/Arc leveling. While sophisticated clamps and levers provided excellent stability with their firm locking power, the 3-way tripod head could grow quite wieldy and heavy to hold a camera firmly. The simple Ball Head overcomes most of the weight and all of the size issues, not the speed of deployment. One lever controls the tilt, orientation, and direction of the camera.
