40-Love - BLU-RAY

This anti-wave sports film is a provocative and disturbing character study of a man struggling to navigate his grief. Told against the backdrop of the world of tennis, 30-Love is the directorial debut of filmmaker Robert Cannon and stars Academy Award® nominee Brenda Vaccaro (Kubo and the Two Strings, Midnight Cowboy). In an effort to remember the wife he lost to childbirth, a man drives himself to succeed in the sport she loved. As his obsession grows, her family intervenes and they begin a tug-of-war for control of his daughter.

Pro tennis "hot shot" Lizzie Bradbury (Kirsten Dunst) is a rising star who lives to win. When she falls for long-shot contender Peter Colt (Paul Bettany) amid the glitz and glamour of Wimbledon, Lizzie discovers it's not if you win or lose, but how you play the game of love. A deliciously witty romantic comedy about chasing your dreams and risking your heart, Wimbledon is a fun and charming story of love across the net.

Paris financier Jean Fournier (Melvil Poupaud) lived a happy existence with younger wife Fanny (Lou de Laâge)... or did, until he rightly suspected that she had reconnected romantically with writer and high school love Alain (Niels Schneider). The dark machinations he undertakes to end the affair will have ironic repercussions, in this mystery-comedy marking Woody Allen's French-language bow. Valérie Lemercier, Grégory Gadebois, Elsa Zylberstein also star. 93 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack French; Subtitles English. In French with English subtitles.
