Q: Does this make ice as good as Sonic? A bit nervous buying this with so few reviews.
A: It’s close but not the same. Check out the review I just wrote. If you want the exact same as Sonic ice, buy the GE Opal

A: I'm assuming since it's been a month you've figured this out. For others, yes, fill with water, run cleaning cycle, drain by removing both tubes from back of machine and pulling the plug that's attached to both tubes. Make sure to wipe out water area. Oh, the little white ramp/perforated filter in the bottom of the water bin....pop that off and wipe out the water inlet underneath there. If you don't, it will get gunked up!
