For a 1080p TV, the picture and price are amazing. Don't for get to buy the Insignia sound bar too. BESTBUY has a fair warranty program that you should take advantage of.

From a friend this brand was recommended. Good price for the TV I had a limited budget and wanted a large screen. Would like to share that the salesman did not recommend this product he was negitive which made me purchase the extra warranty, I usually don't do that. Thought you might want to know that. Also went in wanting a smart TV it was late 10 mins before closing the salesman was to busy sold me a different TV. I did not realize until I got home. I kept it because I had a smart DVD player.

The Insignia 50" LED - 1080p HDTV is a great buy. Picture quality is excellent. I'm thoroughly enjoying this TV for everything from sports to movies to music concerts. The onboard sound is not great, so you will want some kind of theatre or amplified extra sound system for this TV. Once you have that, you have an excellent viewing and listening experience.

Bought this tv for my first apartment on Labor Day so I caught this tv for 249.00 (274.and some change after everything) for less than $300 this tv is a beast! For a college student attempting to be a true adult this tv is satisfactory, I have my first stick connected and it's the perfect fit for watching movies. The speakers aren't the greatest but all flat screens have terrible speakers .. I'm going to get that insignia sound bar one day lol insignia is a beast for a low price Sits nicely on my espresso wood insignia tv stand lol that was only $200 too. Best Buy never fails always great great prices.

I recently started looking for a flat screen for my garage, looked at a lot of different brands and found this one at a great price with a very nice picture! Would recommend to anyone

We love it. For a flat screen the sound is a lot better than you would expect. The screen has great color and honestly it’s a great deal for the price. We couldn’t be happier.

I was hesitant to purchase a television that was not LG brand. My hesitation was unnecessary. This is a great TV, great sound, good picture and absolutely no issues with it! I recommend it for sure!

I purchased this tv for the kids video games. I was surprised how clear and crisp the picture was so we’ll be coming back to pick one up for the living room.

I purchased this for my patio. Good price for a TV that stays outside all year.

I love my new tv. I did find it somewhat difficult to set up but the picture looks great. My son doesn't care for the tiny remote. Lol.

I'm heading back to the store as soon as they open as I'm mortified that this tv has a huge crack upon opening. I'm usually a Samsung buyer but decided to give Insignia a chance after getting a great deal on the price. If this is how Insignia manufactures their screens, then this will definitely be my first and very last purchase!

Picturei quality is less than I expected for Insignia due to the jittering of the picture.

Hello there! I am sorry to hear about the picture issues being experienced with your TV. While this is a know issue it will be resolved after performing a firmware update. You will be able to locate the firmware update in the official support website for this TV model at www.insigniaproducts.com - Daniel T. - Insignia Support <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/BBY-ExBrand_Insignia.jpg" alt="BBY-ExBrand_Insignia" title="BBY-ExBrand_Insignia" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />

I realize I'm in the minority on this but I really don't see the point of 4K Ultra High-Def. I mean... I wear glasses so how much MORE resolution can I really see? I've been happy with 1080p/HDMI for the last decade now and I'm just as happy with it on my newer Insignia with better contrast ratio (the really important feature for me). After poring over online reviews, scoping out numerous online and brick & mortar deals, this tv had the best bang for my buck. The Insignia replaces a 10-year-old Philips set. The screen is bigger but the set is lighter, it runs MUCH cooler (a noticeable improvement in a small space!), the color and blacks are deeper, and the sound is better (although I'm using a front-facing soundbar). Sure, I'd like more ports but that seems to be where most manufacturers are cutting costs. Other than adding an Optical line switch to add more audio ports, this has pretty much every port I CURRENTLY need. My only other MINOR complaint is the two-footed stand rather than a single, central pedestal stand. But again, this is pretty common for most manufacturers now and you apparently have to pay a premium to get something other than two feet. This requires a wider surface where a pedestal lets you get away with a smaller footprint. Two feet also sets the bottom of the screen lower than my old pedestal set and slightly BELOW my soundbar. But, like trimming the ports, it must be cheaper for manufacturers since just about everyone is doing it. Given how good the picture is, I can live with it.

I have come to trust the Insignia brand. My first purchase was a 47in HD over 5 years ago. No problems with that TV (a gift for someone). Then I bought a 50in for my grandmother over a year ago and no problems and good quality. I just bought this model and for the price, you can't beat it. Quality Television, clean, clear picture and sound. The HD works great. I give it 4 stars only because there are technically better TVs out there, but not for this price. I recommend this TV and other Insignias if you want a good, reliable HD TV.

This is my second large insignia LED (my previous was a 49") and both are excellent units. Although they are thicker than many (much) more expensive flatscreens, they are lightweight and hang on the wall with no issues. Color and resolution is very good and there are plenty of ports. Even the sound from the onboard speakers is quite good. For an entry-level flatscreen, you really can't go wrong.

Hi - this review is for the 50 inch Insignia 1080P display which i bought for 279 on sale. Great display for the money. If you are into gaming and fast action sports viewing, this set may not be for you due to motion blur under those uses. But for my BluRay, OTA TV, and Netflix viewing, it is perfect. 60 hz is fine for this size screen despite what anyone might tell you. For settings, shut off advanced features. All of them. Under basic settings, be sure to turn down the brightness. Mine came set at a whopping 90%. I turned it down to 50 and that is right for me. Adjust color and sharpness to whatever you see fit. My choices fell in the 40s for what it is worth. You can plug a Roku stick or Amazon firestick in one of the HDMI ports and you have a better smart TV than all of the ones that come advertised as "smart TVs". Best viewing for me is 6 feet minimum away from the set with best viewing at about 10 feet or a little further even. Contrast ratio is not great on this display so you will lose shadow detail in dark scenes in movies. Sound is perfectly loud enough for me and dialog is clear to me. I bought an updated OTA antenna and am pulling in over 200 channels. Pretty sweet. I am 20 miles form the antenna farm in my area. TV is in my bedroom and I am quite pleased. For videophiles out there, video sources will appear better than film sources due to 3:2 pulldown ratios due to 60HZ display.
