5th Element - Jazz for Friends - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

5th Element - Swing Para Una Nota [Swing For A Single Note] [COMPACT DISCS] date 04/27/2010

On the second InchRay Parker, Jr. And RaydioInch album, and Ray's fourth overall, 1981's InchA Woman Needs LoveInch pretty much picks up where 1980's InchTwo Places At The Same TimeInch left off. The recording blends Ray's penchant for catchy melodic grooves, anthems for respect, carnal desires from women, and butt shaking dance grooves. Three singles were culled from what would be the last InchRay Parker, Jr. And RaydioInch album. First single, and one of the band's highest charting Pop entry, was the album's title track which hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart. The song also hit No. 4 on Billboard's Hot 100 Pop Singles chart, and No. 11 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart. Includes original album remastered from the original master tape and 3 bonus tracks. Limited edition of 2,000.

2013 from this Indie act featuring Alt-Rock veterans Juliana Hatfield and Matthew Caws. Over the last two decades, both Hatfield and Caws have carved out long-lasting and strikingly independent careers within a dependably fickle music business, Caws with his now 20-year-old New York City group Nada Surf, and Hatfield with the Boston-reared Blake Babies, the Juliana Hatfield Three, Some Girls, as well as a number of releases under her own name.
