I got this as a replacement for my old Xbox controller I was using for my pc. I had broken the d-pad by playing old SNES games and when I saw this at the store. I had to give it a go. I'm about 3 days into using it. So far it has worked BETTER than I could have hoped. This is one of the highest quality controllers I have ever had my hands on. Plus it's wireless. How it feels; I would say it's similar to a PlayStation controller, as far as feel and weight goes. But there is something about the buttons that just, runs it home for me. I think it's that (like the original SNES controller) the B and A buttons are flat, while the Y and x are very lightly concave. Maybe it's the nostalgia talking but it feels so "right" to use this. Bonus, the select and start buttons feel like the originals as well! I will also say for people with smaller hands, I think you will still be able to use it just fine. I'm a woman, and I had no issues reaching any of the buttons. Bluetooth; Something I wanted to address in my review is the Bluetooth connection and input delay. I see that few people seem to have a delay. I have had no such issue. I've even been able to do frame perfect jumps and clips with this controller with no issue (well other than my lack of skill) I would say if you are having delay issues, check your Bluetooth connection, or swap the controller out for a new one, as no matter the product. Defective units will sometimes happen. I am even using a super cheap insignia Bluetooth USB, and it still works perfectly. Compatibility; As for compatibility, I've had no issues with just picking it up and playing it with my emulators or steam, and non-listen programs have even been able to use it (think Epic games, and such) I've tested out a few games just for this review, and I have yet to find one that requires you to do anything more than moving "keyboard and mouse" option to "controller". In conclusion. I'm a super picky person, I very quickly can pick out things I like and don't from just about any product. Most of the time, when I get something like this. I think of what brand I'll try next because I am rarely ever 100% happy with a product. So I keep searching for the unicorns that work perfectly for me. I found my unicorn with this controller. I hope BestBuy gets the other colors in stock. Ps. I saw no one had pictures with them holding it. Thought that it might help someone to see how the hold looks.

I really like this controller. I've got it synced with my laptop, switch, and tablet, and it's easy to switch between them. I've been playing a lot recently and the battery lasts a pretty long time. It was a little bigger than I was expecting. Compared to an xbox one controller it feels a little wider. If you're someone with smaller hands, it may be a little uncomfortable. And if you do play a lot of xbox you can remap the buttons using the 8bitdo software so that when you play on switch the A and B buttons are where they would be on an xbox controller. It's a solid controller. If you're looking, this is a great one to pick up.

Was doing my best to get a DS4 up and running on my PC to avoid using a 360 controller *wretches*, but the Bluetooth connection was spotty, and so was my USB connection. Grabbed this on sale, put some batteries in it, ran the software package from the website, got the buttons running PS4 style via XINPUT to get me all set. Now anything I don't use MNK for sees the 8-BitDo step in and handle. Definitely recommended to those looking for a DS4 alternative and wanting to avoid the asymmetrical nightmare that is the XBOX controller. Last note, this controller is slightly larger around the shoulder buttons area than the DS4. But a little playtime can see you getting used to it. Enjoy!

i’ve been using this over a year now and I can see it is Better than most controllers out there, It is a reliable and comfortable to use for long periods of time

I waited to write this review until I had a chance to test the controller out on my pc and switch, playing a variety of games. All I can say is, it works like a charm. The buttons and joysticks feel good and responsive. Plus, the thing just feels good in my hands. I've been an Xbox user for so long, I forgot how much I prefer the PS thumbstick layout. So much better. All in all, highly recommended.

When people review this controller, they ovelook that the bluetooth has a *slight* delay, and that you probably wouldn't notice it. But its super noticable! It takes a full second for the switch to take inputs from the controller. Wich doesnt sound to big, but when your playing a game like super smash bros, and animal crossing, it really affects the gameplay, its extremely slow, and sluggish. Not only that, but it takes FOREVER for the switch to pair with the controller, it once took 10 minutes for me to pair with the switch, and I had the latest firmware update. And whats worse is that if you leave it for 5 minutes, it just shuts off. And that sounds fine, just pair the controller again, but remember, the pairing is exrtremely long, and annoying. And the button placment is super akward, this controller really was designed around the d-pad, not the c-sticks. The batterry life sucks, I charged this thing for 3 hours, and it was dead in 1 hour, so I just switched to batteries. The button customization isnt amazing, I mean, if your into making your controller as personizable as possible, go for it. But the switch pro controller has that already, which makes it an almost completely pointless feature. I guess you have the advantage of adding macros to the controller, but it has no extra buttons to put the ones your replacing with. Wich isnt very ideal, and kinda annoying. The lack of hd rumble really hurts this controller, I thought I wouldnt mind, since I dont really care about hd rumble. But this controller doesnt have hd rumble, and the regular rumble sucks. Its so much weaker than I thought it would be. I guess the build quality is good, and its pretty comftorable in the hands. But thats basicly all it has going for it. Personally, I think that you should just cough up 20 more dollars to get the first party pro controller if you can, its way better, and almost completely trumps all the feature the sn30 pro plus has to offer.

This controller is a great blend of the old and new. The face feels like an SNES controller, but the control sticks, grips, and analog triggers make it a great modern controller. Cheaper than the Pro Controller, and has a better D-Pad. Construction feels solid, works with more than just Switch, and is comfortable. Only drawbacks are not being able to wake the Switch console from sleep with it and no NFC function, though I'm sure most don't use that as often. Overall, great controller and alternative to the Pro. Very satisfied.

With more time spent at home and my 5-yo daughter doing online learning, I found myself with more time. Plus my daughter loves to play games so I began to get back into emulation gaming with her. Once we started to play Nintendo Wii and Wii U games, that's when I realized that normal gamepads wouldn't cut it - I needed a controller with a gyroscope. After much research and reading, I decided on the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ and I love it~!! Besides working really well as a regular Direct Input or X-input gamepad, it also works very well with emulator games that require motion control (via Cemuhook and the BetterJoy app). At $50, it felt quite expensive since I don't usually spend more than $30 for a gamepad. But it's worth it to me. 5 stars!!

I bought this controller because I wanted a nice alternative to the switch pro controller that I could also use on my desktop from time to time. The controller is well made and feels sturdy but with a vintage plastic feel, similar to the SNES controller it is emulating. Only complaint is a noticable seam on the bottom. Rumble and gyro works on switch games well, and it comes with a rechargable battery pack and type c cable. The d-pqd and buttons emulate the SNES perfectly in size and feel, giving you the vintage style with modern triggers and analog sticks. All in all I am very satisfied with the controller and will probably pick up another if more styles become available.

Can't say enough good things about this controller. I also have the SN30 Pro controller (without the hand grips) and it is my favorite portable controller. Amazing D-Pad, rumble, motion controls. It has everything...except hand grips. The lack of hand grips made playing 3D games with the joysticks a bit hard. This is the same controller as the SN30 Pro except with hand grips. It has all the buttons that an official Nintendo Pro Controller has so you can play any game that supports the Pro Controller with this one. A couple of nit picks: The inclusion of analog triggers is cool and works well when using this controller on PC, but has no function with the Nintendo Switch. Other Switch controllers have triggers that don't register pressure, so adding this feature to these triggers just makes it slightly harder to press than the official Nintendo Pro Controller. The configuration software available on the 8bitdo website allows you to adjust the trigger sensitivity though so this is really just a nitpick. The last thing that I'll say is that I could see this controller being a little uncomfortable for people with smaller hands. Again, just a nitpick. Overall, amazing controller for about $20 less than the official Nintendo Pro Controller. If you play alot of 2D games, the D-Pad is the best you can get and the controller still works great for 3D games (especially if you prefer the Dualshock PS4 style thumbstick layout). If you only play 3D games and prefer an Xbox style controller, I'd go for the official Nintendo Pro Controller.

This controller is my new favorite controller for Switch and works great on a Mac too. Setting it up was very easy. I own two of these and two Switch pro controllers and these days I prefer this one. There are two reasons for that. 1) I now play a lot of playstation so the location of the analog sticks is more familiar 2) The D-pad is excellent for this controller and is not great for the Switch pro controller. The SN20Pro+ is comfortable, feels high quality, and I love the SNES style of it. The only downside I can see is that it doesn't recognise amiibo.

This controller fixes the issue I had with the official Nintendo pro controller (which is still a great controller). The D pad on this controller is spot on. Feels great on all the old classic Nintendo and Super Nintendo online games. It also has really good sticks, motion controls, and regular rumble. It even has analog triggers which is something the switch controller does not. The only downfall is that it doesn’t have HD rumble or NFC and it won’t wake the switch up with its home button like the pro controller does. I purchased on sale for 39.99. At that price it was a great deal. Highly recommend this controller even at full price.

I really like the feel of this controller. The buttons all feel good to press, there's a nice rumble, and the aesthetic is nice too. I bought it for smash bros after I broke my switch pro controller, but it's not really great for that. The PlayStation layout doesn't lend itself well to that game. Although it is really good for platformers and even open world games like breath of the wild. I'd recommend it if you want a solid controller that's not too expensive and works on multiple devices.

This is essentially an SNES controller with thumbsticks. It's d-pad is one of the best I've played with and it's super comfortable for just about every 2D game. I still prefer the official pro controller for 3D games, but using this in conjunction with the pro controller will make your gamin experience very pleasant. It's also compatible with PC, Mac, and Android, while having a gyro sensor, so aiming in supported games is very nice.

I have a couple of 8bitdo products myself, including the standard SN30 Pro. However, I heard that one of the key features of the SN30 Pro+ is the Turbo functionality. I follow WULFF DEN on YouTube, and he recommended this controller without much hesitation. I figured forking over $50 for this controller when I already owned the standard SN30 Pro was a pretty hard sell, but I am glad my girlfriend convinced me to purchase it anyways. The grips actually make a world of difference, and while the Switch Pro Controller is one of the best console controllers I've ever held and used from a personal standpoint, the feeling of holding this controller makes for an even MORE comfortable experience. It just rests so naturally in my hands, and the iconic D-Pad and buttons of the SNES controller only improve this experience further. Additionally, as an avid Animal Crossing and Minecraft Dungeons player, the turbo functionality is actually one of the most useful functions I've experienced in a controller. It really does make a world of difference. However, you'll need a PC and 8bitdo's "Ultimate Software" to enable this feature. I have a few complaints, of course. No product is perfect unfortunately, but my complaints are very minor. First of all, this controller does NOT have NFC Support, so you'll have to use your JoyCon or Switch Pro Controller to scan Amiibos. Second, the triggers depress as if they have a range of input, as is typical in XBox and PlayStation controllers. However, this is not the case. Once the triggers have been depressed slightly, they will actuate. I kind of wish they kept the old triggers from the SN30 Pro, as they had a tactile feel and were rather low profile. If they could implement that into their SN30 Pro+ with the larger triggers, it would be awesome. Lastly, as it is not an official Nintendo product, it of course does not feature HD Rumble, but this is a very minor gripe, and I don't particularly care much. The rumble is strong and feels great. Overall, a fantastic controller. TL;DR: Great switch controller with amazing ergonomics and a super useful Turbo function. No NFC support, and strange triggers.

The main reason people buy this is for the great D-pad for use in (mainly) 2D games like platformers. The build quality is superb, the buttons and sticks themselves are top of the line, and it even works as a Pro Controller if you don't have one yet or want a slightly cheaper spare. My only problem so far has been the pairing, which starting out wasn't that great. However, it has since been working great, and I find plenty of use in it.

This is pretty much the best all-around controller out there. It works flawlessly with every PC, iPhone, and my Switch. The battery lasts quite a while when playing and you have the option to take out the rechargeable battery and put in AA batteries. USB-C, rumble, and motion control all work well.

I usually only buy from BB when they have a pre-order bonus, like ACNH and the bell bag. But Amazon was sold out of these in the US SNES grey. Ordered it from BB and it arrived very quick, in great shape aside from an annoying sticker that was difficult to remove from the product's box. These controllers are great, one of the few wireless Switch pads that also have a gyro and it works amazingly well, it's extremely accurate in games like Splatoon and BotW for aiming. The build quality is excellent, very solid, I've had my first one for about a year now and it's still going like a champ. Only issue I had recently was a Switch update that made my pads forget their deadzone settings using the Ultimate Software. Other than that they've been great, use them on my PC and Shield TV Pro for emulation when I wanna go for true nostalgia instead of my Xbone X controller.

This controller feels pretty good in the hands. It has a decent heft to it, and all the buttons feel well-built. I play a lot of games ranging from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Melee to Mario Kart Wii and 8 Deluxe. This controller has a great feel for both classic games and modern games. You can also fully customize everything about the controller down to the amount of rumble on each side of the controller. This is really nice for creating profiles for certain games that work better with more or less sensitivity. My ONLY gripe with the controller is connectivity. It’s a bit of an awkward transition to figure out how to connect to it your Nintendo Switch or your PC or phone. Also, turning off the controller was confusing at first too. It definitely requires a look at the manual before using. Either way, it is a really nice controller that I’ve been defaulting to when emulating games on my PC.
