Aaron Espe - Passages - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Videodrone's major tag debut also marks the 1st full-length album producer credit for Korn's Fieldy. But while Videodrone is as heavy as Korn - mixing rock, rap and metal - there's an eerie, melodic element that sets them apart. As with Korn, Videodrone hails from angst-filled Bakersfield, California; the band has a new sound and vibe, but it also has a history and a national following thanks to cross-country tours (including with Korn) and 2 indie albums as Cradle of Thorns.

Following unparalleled success with recordings for orchestra and choir, including awards in recent years from both Gramophone and BBC Music Magazine, the Hallé and Sir Mark Elder present a compelling program of evocative and rarely-performed works. The performances of these works perfectly illustrate the renaissance that has been achieved at the Hallé under Sir Mark Elder, including from the two Hallé choirs. The recording also features acclaimed British baritone Roderick Williams, a soloist at the height of his powers, in repertoire that is perfectly suited to his lyrical, dramatic, and musical expertise.

25th Anniversary Edition repress of The Ladybug Transistor album InchThe Albemarle SoundInch on black vinyl w/ digital bonus tracks and full color poster. Originally released in 1999 on Merge Records, The Albemarle Sound, the third full-length LP by Brooklyn, New York's The Ladybug Transistor, exists just outside it's fixed point in time and space. Perhaps the last great pop album of the 20th century, The Albemarle Sound is like few records from the turn of the millennium, it's attention turned to the intricate arrangements of late 1960s pop and the strange and familiar environs of home. For the 25th anniversary of The Albemarle Sound, the record has been lovingly reissued on silver vinyl by Happy Happy Birthday to Me Records. The CD includes 12 bonus tracks which break open the year-long recording process with the inclusion of rare B-sides, four-track demos, instrumentals and alternate mixes, further highlighting the band's mastery of songcraft while teasing out the intricate worlds those songs contain, making a case, as fans of The Ladybug Transistor have known for decades now, that The Albemarle Sound is as infinitely rewarding to return to as it is to visit for the first time.
