Amazing laptop. I had a 1050 gtx and changing to a 4050 rtx is breathtaking. Everything opens and runs really fast. I use it to develop 3D software using Blender and Unity and the laptop runs those programs without any problem. In fact, temperature is always below 65°C, but if you turn on the fan (max power) it goes down to 42°C. Talking about gaming, I can sum up like this: This laptop runs everything in Ultra without exceeding 65°C (using DLSS). There are 2 things that you may not like: size (because it has a 16in display, and it could be uncomfortable to carry the computer from one place to another) and the speakers (even though it uses DTS X, the speakers' sound could improve. However, since I use headphones it is not a big problem for me). Also!, battery life is not long lasting, of course it depends on the use, but overall, it lasts around 4 hours. In conclusion, this laptop is an amazing product, equipped with very good hardware. If you mainly use headphones/earphones, and you are willing to work with the charger connected, then I recommend it 100%. Excellent device!

This laptop has a perfect balance of computing power and budget. It has a 4050RTX graphics card and 16GB of RAM with a still relevant i5 processor which works well for all types of tasks, so running most games on max or very high settings will be no issue. Of the major downsides, I would name the unusual screen dimensions that make video recording and custom wallpapers difficult, HDMI and USB-C port placement on the back, the limited default HDD storage of 512GB (475 in actuality), and the somewhat cheesy GUI of the startup and system profile manager. The battery unplugged isn't really anything too special, but that's standard for gaming PCs. In fact, I would say its better than the usual, even if only by a slight margin. Overall, besides the display and at times tacky design choices, this is one of the best gaming laptops you can get at a budget of around 1,500.

I got it during Black Friday sales for $799. I really couldn't find any other Intel/Nvidia laptops with these specs and features at this price point. It has a 165Hz monitor at 400 nits which looks great. All the ports you need including Thunderbolt 4 that charges from a powerbank at 100W. A fully customizable RGB keyboard with a numpad. The included SSD is a top notch Gen4 drive that reaches around 7000MB/s reads which loads Windows and games really fast. The only downside is that it's 512GBs but that's remedied by an additional Gen4 M.2 slot. Runs everything I've throw at it max settings and over 60 FPS. You can dial back the setting for more FPS if you want. If you can catch this on sale I'll say go for it. You won't be disappointed.

For the price tag and a minor upgrade of a ssd for extra storage this is well worth the price and the preformance you get out of the box im able to run any game ultra settings the fan isnt very loud unless in turbo mode which i never have to use this laptop is overall a really great buy that doesnt break the bank and provides a long life span of use so it wont be out dated anytime soon

I have had this laptop for three to four weeks now, and I'm impressed. I wanted a beefy laptop so that I can make music alongside my everyday tasks, and this laptop is capable. For those of you who don't know, making music is an extremely cpu-intensive task. When I plug it in I have access to overclocking, and it runs whatever I throw at it just fine. I have also played some fairly light games on it, like Minecraft, and of course it ran that just fine. My only real complaint with this machine is that it's a real power sucker, even with more battery-friendly settings. In my experience, it lasts maybe three to four hours of constant use at most. Also, while I don't particularly mind owning a heavy laptop, if that's not for you, I would just be aware of it. Overall, I love it.

this is my first time ever buying a gaming laptop and I love it. I am a game designer in training, and I think I would die without this thing. It has amazing graphics, and it works excellently as both a game laptop and running every program I need to make a video game. Word of warning though make sure you keep plugged in. I didn’t know this I’m new to this world of game laptops.

I really love the keyboard and the screen. It's really smooth, and they didn't lie about the refresh rate. The lid is a bit shaky, though, but apart from that, everything's great. For $850, it surprisingly works well. There are some laptops with lower specs that cost more! So, best choice I made ever! My son loves it so much. Thank you!

I bought this laptop in hopes that the games I played would run smoother and faster then my old gaming laptop…and oh boy this one did not disappoint me at all. The best purchase I’ve ever made. Regardless of the battery life not lasting as long as I hoped it’s still the best.

Got this laptop for 800 and I will like to point out the highlights of this amazing specs this laptop has. 4050 gpu 140W version - able to play 99% of the games at highest settings at the current moment i5 13500hx - the hx processor has extra cores which really makes this laptop a beast 400 nits - above average brightness 100% rgb color accuracy - very good for the price Last but not least this laptop has amazing fans provding the best thermals while gaming Best laptop to buy if u only have 800 Below I have a picture of the games that I played on this laptop and it plays flawlessly.

This laptop has it all, it functions very well too! If you need more battery life, just keep battery saver on all the tine and it runs like a charm. Best college laptop decision! It is also very great for gaming and has everything you need for a game to run smoothly.

The laptops is beast in its way of carrying the work loads. Truly amazed with the graphics that comes with 6gb of vram with max 140w which gives us additional 15-20 fps more comapqre to rtx 4060 with 75w. Best for all kind of works including video and photo editing. In this price range, u wont be getting better laptop than this with high end pics with 400 nits of brightness. I didnt find any issues till date and nvidia broadcast is addition feature for youtube creators. I would recommend to all the students who are thinking to game and code at the same time.

It's a very reliable laptop, with a very good graphics card, and a reliable CPU chip. However, it's very heavy, and the charger is also very heavy. The battery life is bad. It can only last for a couple of hours on heavy use, and 3-4 hours of mid use.

It's amazing! It's working great unlike the ROG Zephyrus I got. Still super sad about that. The Helios runs really well. The one thing that I found was pretty annoying was the startup sound however that can be disabled. There is a YouTube video about disabling it if you're interested. The startup logo looks it came off an original Xbox game. You can actually change that as well which is pretty cool! I have put it through some pretty hard tests and ran some really heavy games but Turbo mode keeps everything running really smoothly. I love it!

The Acer Predator is truly impressive! A powerful processor, stunning display, and high performance make it perfect for gaming and work. The backlit keyboard ensures comfortable use anytime. Satisfied with the purchase!

My daughter loves this computer!! Not only is it very cool looking it is a power house and fast! Love the multi-color keyboard, the keys are soft and your fingers glide smoothly when typing.

Fantastic entry-level gaming PC! I was looking to get a setup that wouldn't break the bank and this ended up being perfect-- I got it on sale but I would have paid full price and still thought it would be a good value. Runs fast and quietly, has no issues running any of the games or other daily use applications I use.

Smooth gameplay and video streaming. Definitely a step up from our previous haming laptop. Sturdy build, quiet and doesn't heat up like the Omen did.

I am a pastor in my mid-fifties. Although I am not the typical consumer who purchases a gaming laptop, this is the best computer I have owned. On Sunday, we live stream on Zoom and YouTube simultaneously. I have at least two Zoom meetings per week that requires video and screen sharing. For photo slide presentations and video editing, I needed a fast computer that could handle that volume of information. This Acer does so easily. I also write over 3,000 words a week and have worn out laptop keyboards on previous units. This keyboard is much more durable, is lighted (which is great), and very easy to type on. Lastly, my 14 year old son plays an online game through his PS4. I can now play with him on this computer. I read a lot of reviews about the battery life that said it was a little low. Although it is only a month old, I have to tell you that for using the computer to write while at Starbucks, the battery lasts a long time. I can even do a whole Zoom meeting with screen sharing for an hour before I have to plug it in. I am happy with every aspect of this computer and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to type for a living and do video streaming and sharing.

Great performance works fast , has good graphics..

it's a pretty cool laptop! i have fun playing my favorite games on this laptop. you can change the color of your keyboard to fit however you like. personally i like the rainbow wave effect but sometimes i change the color pattern to purple because that's the aesthetic of my desktop and mouse.
