Q: Can this be fitted with two 2tb nvme?
A: There are two NVMe slots to support a 2nd drive. I was able to install a Samsung 990 Pro, with PS5 Heatsink, for cloning. PHN-16 supported the original 500MB drive, along with 2nd 2TB NVMe drive. I can't say for certain if two 2TB drives will work, but I would bet my wife's life it will.
Q: does the acer predator helios neo 16 good for college work too??
A: Depends. Gaming computers including this one are big, bulky, heavy, and have poor battery life. They also do not support pen/stylus or touch. I personally would rather have an ultrabook 2-in-1 that is thinner, lighter, and better battery life for school. However, if you need a gaming computer or a really powerful (and upgradeble) PC this is a very good choice.
Q: Is the thunderbolt port for data transmission to the 4K monitor or is it only for charging?
A: Can confirm USB-C Power Delivery and 4k video output work over a single cable with this device. I tried it with a Samsung M8 USB-C monitor and worked perfectly.
Q: Is it a Mac OS or a windows?
A: Windows
A: In slot "1" the stock NVMe is 2280. In the open slot "2" there are two mounting posts for 2280 and what appears to be 2242. Note that there could be a 2242 post under "1". I don't recall if I saw one when I cloned a drive replacing the stock drive.
A: This Predator Helios laptop supports DDR5 4800 SDRAM.
A: The PHN16-71 models have two memory slots, each supporting up to 16GB for max total of 32GB system memory.
Q: I'd like to know if it has a MUX Switcher in order to select the NVIDIA GPU only.
A: Yes, this laptop has a MUX switch.
