Always owned a Tower CPU and had to be convinced by the Best Buy salesperson to purchase this extremely small Acre unit. Just setup the Acer Revo Box and began using it. Surprisingly, there were sufficient ports to connect all of our devices, and we have no complaints on the speed of the processor. We don't play video games, and we will find out more when we start streaming movies and TV shows online.

Great product for the price point, runs games no issues especially Fortnite at 120FPS. It does fluctuate but overall 120, steam games also no issues overall a good little gaming PC.

Overall, this Acer Revo Box AI mini PC is an awesome small productivity / multi-media PC - and in today’s world of ever increasing prices for PC components, it’s actually a reasonably priced one too (at least as of this writing). But is it right for you? Read on to find out! Physically, this is a very small PC at just over 5” x 5” and just UNDER 2” tall. Yet you get a good bit of PC in that tiny footprint, including a 6 core / 12 thread CPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. While this is no gaming PC, you do get a Radeon 840M integrated GPU (iGPU / onboard graphics) and a 50 TOPs NPU for onboard AI acceleration. All of that is plenty of power for your day to day productivity and household work - and reasonable multimedia work / editing as well. In a pinch, you can certainly play older or casual games (I would not consider this a gaming PC or buy it for that purpose). Of course you also get Windows 11 so your favorite Windows applications should work just fine. Port-wise, you get a large collection of connectivity, especially for the size. On the front you get a full-function USB 4 USB-C port (you can even power this PC using the USB 4 port - meaning you can run the PC with just 1 cable if you have a dock that gives you power/video/data connectivity), 2x 10Gbps USB-A ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the back, you get 2 more 10Gbps USB-A ports, 2x 2.5Gbe LAN/ethernet ports, DisplayPort AND HDMI (so you get three display connections if you also use the USB-C port on the front) and a DC/barrel jack for power. The interesting thing is inside - unlike many small PCs, you actually do get some room to expand. You can replace the existing M.2 NVMe SSD OR add a second SSD in the open slot. There’s also an additional RAM slot (you can add a second stick OR replace / upgrade the existing one to upgrade the RAM) which is welcome. In day to day use, the PC is quick to start up and handles normal daily tasks like web browsing or office work with ease. You can play back media equally easily and even do some photo (or light video) editing or coding. Even local AI is somewhat possible with 50 TOPs on the NPU. And it’s all done mostly quietly with the fan only spinning up under the highest loads. So if you could use a tiny PC for your day to day, this Acer is a great option. Give it a try today!
