American singer, actor and drummer Adam Wade began to pursue a recording career in 1959 while working as a lab assistant with Dr. Jonas Salk on the polio research team. He scored his first major hit with InchRubyInch in early 1960, with a vocal style which drew comparisons to Johnny Mathis. Wade quickly became quite popular and in 1961 scored three Top Ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 1975, Wade become the first African-American to host a television game show, and by the late 1970's began to concentrate on acting. Presented here is Wade's classic 1977 self-titled album, a soul/pop gem, finally available in the digital domain. All selections newly remastered.

An outstanding period keyboard player from Belgium, Jos van Immerseel has appeared on many noteworthy recordings of Beethoven string sonatas; here he takes center stage on one of the most famous piano sonatas ever written, the InchMoonlightInch (No. 14 in C-sharp Minor, Op. 27, No. 2). Beethoven's original Italian title for the sonata was InchQuasi una fantasiaInch (Inchalmost a fantasyInch). He wrote it in 1801 and dedicated it to his pupil, Countess Giulietta Guicciardi. It is believed that the two were in love but that she was forbidden by her parents to marry him. Composed just a few years earlier, when the composer was 27 years old, his Piano Sonata No. 8 in C Minor, Op. 13 was dedicated to his friend, Prince Karl von Lichnowsky. Beethoven approved of the name Grande Sonata Pathétique, given by the work's , who was struck by it's tragic sonorities. Immerseel's program also includes Six Bagatelles, Op. 126, and Andante WoO 57.
