Adam Sherkin - As at First - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

In April 1764 the Mozart family arrived in London on a concert tour arranged by Mozart's father Leopold which had already taken them to cities in Germany and to Paris. They were to stay until summer the following year. Received at the English court.

Award-winning Lithuanian, London-based pianist Indre Petrauskaite makes her AVIE tag debut with a selection of Mozart's piano works with a twist she uniquely brings together the composer's solo keyboard works written in minor keys. The nine works offered here represent a fraction of the composer's overall oeuvre, yet they span a gamut of genres - including improvisatory and emotional fantasies, enigmatic miniatures and complex sonatas. Indre showcases these pieces - much loved staples of stage and studio alike - in a novel and stunning album. InchStrong and well-played performances.Inch (MusicWeb International)

The guitar duo of Adam Cicchillitti and Steve Cowan presents a new album of their original arrangements of 19th and 20th century piano repertoire. Lyrique features the works of Edvard Grieg, Maurice Ravel, Erik Satie, Germaine Tailleferre, John Cage, and Federico Mompou. Though varied in style, these pieces invite listeners into a rich and multifaceted dialogue with the concept of 'lyrical' in instrumental music. The guitar's rich tonal palette and nuanced capacity for expression brings new life to these iconic works.
