We’ll connect your remote to your existing home network and, if included, connect the remote’s smart hub or base station. If applicable, we can also help you set up your remote’s companion mobile app. Finally, we’ll review everything we set up and make sure you know how to use it so we leave you in full control. Once we’re done, we’ll ensure the workspace is clean and remove any packaging that’s no longer needed. Best Buy’s home theater services are backed by a 90-day limited workmanship warranty.

A: I would recommend giving Geek Squad a call at 1-800-433-5778. Pricing on the website will only reflect new set-ups.

Q: I've purchased my own "netgear" Cable Modem to hook up. Time warner keeps raising their price of renting their modem; therefore, I've purchased my own "Netgear" modem and need it hooked up. In addition, I would like to switch out my older router.

A: Hi RedTail - the Geek Squad has a service called Home WiFi setup and support. It covers the setup of your new router and includes a year of ongoing support for your network. This can be purchased online or my going into your local Best Buy store.

Q: I need help to program my tv with one remote control and set up vcr box at home

A: The Geek Squad is available to help with this. You can purchase the in-home service online or talk to an Agent in store to schedule your appointment.

Q: Can a logitech Harmony universal remote be repaired? The buttons are sticking

Q: The installer did not program the remote because he said, I only bought (along with my Harmony Ultimate remote) the $49.95 remote control programming. I was told the Harmony remotes require a $200+ fee for programming. What's the deal?

A: No extra fee to program out Logitech remote.

Q: I had a member of the geek squad come to my home to reset and reprogram my universal remote. The charge was $199.99. What is the warranty for this service? He said 30 days. Best Buy said 90 days. Which is it?

A: Home Theater Installation and HT repair services have a 90-day labor warranty. Computing installation and PC repair services have a 30-day labor warranty.
