About this product
On their debut album The Ailing Facade, Aeviterne look beyond the destruction of flesh or the punishment of the spirit, instead turning inward to focus on the abyss of consciousness itself the curse of sentience; the futility of productivity; the breakdown of consensus reality; humanity's twin drives to propagate and destroy itself, locked in permanent perverse competition.Aeviterne formed in 2015 as a vehicle for guitarist and vocalist Garett Bussanick to continue exploring some of the musical ideas his previous band Flourishing pursued, particularly the fusion of death metal with rhythms and textures inspired by harsh post-punk and industrial music. Bussanick, Flourishing bassist Eric Rizk, and drummer Ian Jacyszyn (Miasmatic Necrosis) unveiled the Sireless EP in 2018. The years since that brief but powerful introductory statement were spent not in dormancy, but in painstaking composition and relentless experimentation in pursuit of the densely textured, multifaceted sound of The Ailing Facade, and also saw Aeviterne's lineup expand to include guitarist Samuel Smith (Artificial Brain, Luminous Vault). The result is an album that plunges listeners into hellish headspaces of dread, anxiety, and unease through dynamic songwriting and deliberate, nearly narrative sequencing rather than effects pedal abuse, made even queasier and more disorienting through subtle electronics and additional layers of percussion, culminating in the instrumental title track and epic closer InchDream In Lies.Inch Immolation's harsh technicality and the psychedelic menace of Godflesh can serve as reference points, but don't fully capture the all-devouring alchemy of The Ailing Facade. The Ailing Facade was engineered and mixed by Jacyszyn, with drum engineering and mastering by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice). Artwork and layout by Mark McCoy (Full of Hell, Pig Destroyer). Album Tracks

Eterna is the project of South London-based/Barcelona-born musician Guillem Peeters, who makes ghostly, bare-bones guitar music with a mesmerizingly off-kilter backbone of percussion that pulls from his background as a drummer, most notably in bar Italia. Lyrical themes of modern isolation, disconnection, and (ephemeral) agreement give way to layers of distorted guitars which ultimately serve as lead instrument and Eterna's primary tool for setting the mood of his artistic world. Album Tracks 1. Advice 2. Missing Lluna 3. Whatever Reason 4. Code Your Name with Feelings 5. It Isn't 6. Which Cloud 7. Highbury Grunge 8. Too Medical 9. Perfect Comms 10. Trickster 11. Beneath the Threshold represents Austere in the here and now. While their previous album InchCorrosion of HeartsInch (2023) formed the bridge between the band's musical history and the artists' fresh vision, InchBeneath the ThresholdInch takes a leap of expression. Austere's sonic heritage is still alive. Even though their roots in early Norse black metal and it's depressive Scandinavian offspring continue to shine through, it is also apparent that the Australians have audibly strengthened their emotional expressiveness and previous blackgaze leanings beyond the point where a stylistic shift towards the latter needs to be diagnosed. On InchBeneath the ThresholdInch, Austere offer more hooks and melodic harmonies to complement the multi-layered, harsh and dreamlike guitar textures expertly woven by Keepin with the aid of Yatras' emotive drumming. Album Tracks 1. Thrall 2. The Sunset of Life 3. Faded Ghost 4. Cold Cerecloth 5. Words Unspoken 6. Of Severance
