Afterglow - Crystal Blue - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

In terms of content, AFTERGLOW expands upon the progression that took place between BCC and BCC2. InchIt's a deeper album, musically, than our first two albums, but it does not step away from the genre were in,Inch said Hughes, who wrote the bulk of the albums eleven songs after BCCs Summer Tour in 2011. Rock Guitar Dailys Tony Conley says, InchIt sounds like there's a war going on It rages with an unbridled passion unseen on the first two Black Country releases, and this passion adds immensely to the music.Inch

After the success of InchHinterlandInch in 2005, the band stretched forward to show a truer picture of the band's inner nature. Many fans were asking for the early demo they did in 2003, and these tracks were re-recorded with the full band for InchAfterglowInch. The strong influence of black metal can be heard both in the surprising power and aggression of some sections, as well as the structure and tonality of many of the riffs. Paradoxically, InchAfterglowInch was also a more dyed-in-the-wool proggy prog rock album, with it's epic-length compositions and detours into renaissance and baroque music.InchAfterglowInch was also a well-received record, scratching the itch that fans had felt for those early demos, and cementing the band's position as a leading light among InchretroInch prog bands.InchAfterglowInch was the start for one of the best progressive rock bands that has emerged in the early 2000's, and is now finally available again on CD and limited coloured vinyl.1.
