Alejandro Escovedo - Crossing - VINYL LP
About this product
Vinyl LP pressing housed in a gatefold sleeve, includes . 2018 from the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter. On his scorching, cinematic new concept album The Crossing, Alejandro Escovedo tells the story of two young immigrants - Salvo from Italy, and Diego from Mexico - working in a Texas restaurant in pursuit of the American dream. Mirroring Escovedo's own experience as the child of Mexican immigrants, and drawing inspiration from his relationship with Italian co-writer Antonio Gramentieri, their journey navigates cultural identity, ancestral weight, minority rights and racism as they realize they have arrived in a different America - one that's not as open and free as they believed it would be. Escovedo crossed borders of his own for The Crossing sessions, recording outside the US for the first time ever at a farmhouse in Villafranca, Northern Italy with the help of co-producer Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Gomez, Iron & Wine). Double vinyl LP pressing. 2021 . Everything about Black tag Society begins with the riff. A dedicated disciple of Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Deep Purple, Zakk Wylde looks to the massive guitar hooks in classics like InchWhole Lotta Love,Inch InchInto the Void,Inch and InchSmoke On the WaterInch as guiding lights. InchThe main ingredient in any Black tag soup is the riff,Inch says the larger-than-life frontman. Black tag Society builds their music on this simple truth, truth as self-evident on Back in Black as on the dozen songs comprising Doom Crew Inc., the eleventh album from the dependable stalwarts. Doom Crew Inc. Is both a tribute to the band's Inchfirst to bleed, last to leaveInch road crew and a salute to the legion whose support, stretching back to 1998, rivals that of the KISS Army. The Black tag Society biker-style battle vest InchkutteInch is as ubiquitous at hard rock and metal shows as a black t-shirt. Album Tracks 1. Set You Free 2. Destroy & Conquer 3. You Made Me Want to Live 4. Forever and a Day 5. End of Days 6. Ruins 7. Forsaken 8. Love Reign Down 9. Gospel of Lies 10. Shelter Me 11. Gather All My Sins 12. Farewell Ballad
